I have a friend who recently started working for Disney- outdoor food at AK. so at least when we go back we won’t feel the pain in our pocketbooks of not being a FL resident 😉

I went to an audition one time to dance for an outdoor show at MGM (Hollywood studios) called Disney Channel Rocks(I dance 🙂 )
unfortunately the audition wasn’t for that– it was “””dance””” for costumed parade performers! The one I wanted to do was 3 months after that so unfortunately I couldn’t try out for it because you have to wait 6 months before auditioning again. Haha! So I never did realize my dream of dancing at Disney before moving away.

I started off doing the college program where I worked in Tomorrowland merchandise. After college, I spent some time working at the Tiki Room and then Camp Minnie Mickey at Animal Kingdom before making the cut in entertainment. I was a character and parade performer as well as a puppeteer for 3 and a half years after that. Finally, I spent just over 4 years as a “fairy godmother in training” at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!

A friend of mine is from Maryville, (and also as it happens went to UT and is a Disneyphile) so I’ve visited East TN a couple of times in recent years. On my first visit, she took me up into the Smoky Mountains and it was beautiful. Her ancestors lived in Cades Cove, in one of the old cabins on the tourist trail through there.

Born and raised in Orlando. 🙂 Well…that is a few minutes west of Orlando…in the country. 😎

I worked at Animal Kingdom when I was a teenager as a ride op, but I honestly didn’t like it. Now I’m job hunting, and I SO WISH I could get a role as a character, but I don’t fit the look requirements for face characters or the common height requirements for masked characters, so oh well. I worked at Universal too. Now THAT was fun. 😀

I’m planning to swap my Universal pass this year for a Disney one (I go back and forth) and I may or may not kind of want to make it my mission to see a Once cast member (preferably Ginny, because I know from my friends who work there she’s there all the time, especially when Once isn’t filming during the summer.) I’m not a wacko fan, so I’ll keep my distance unless there’s an awesome opportunity to say hi, but either way it would make me very happy. 😆
