I’m quite sure it’ll come up in Season 3 at some point, but all we know is that he had possession of it after Cora died. His decision (like everyone else’s) to go to Neverland was very last minute. While I believe he could have written the instructions for Belle in the same moment that he produced them (we’ve seen him come up with contracts and change them very quickly before), there’s little reason to believe he’s had a chance to communicate the dagger’s location to her in the few moments they’ve had together (and srsly, he wouldn’t tell Lacey). There’s probably not much danger in it in Storybrooke atm, since Regina and Hook are on the boat and Rumple didn’t leave many real enemies behind, but I do wonder where he would have hidden it this time.

Would he hide it? I think he took it with him–or maybe that was part of the “cloaking spell” and why he had to ask Belle not BF or anyone else.

I was wondering this as well. He magicked the globe on board, so there is no reason why he couldn’t also magic his dagger. But if you’re going to a place with a villain far worse than anything encountered thus far, would you risk it? If Belle is cloaking the town can THO (who presumably already know how to get to SB from GOAT) still get in and take it?

Wonder if Rumple left the dagger in SB? He thinks he’s going to his inevitable doom, so I could see him leaving it behind, either because he thinks he’s screwed anyway, or because he has a faint hope that he might get out alive if the dagger isn’t in NL with him.
It could be cool if Belle finds the dagger in SB, and then the name on it changes to PP at some point. I know there have been magic mirror theories floating around too, but the name on the dagger changing would be another way for Belle to discover where Rumple is, because everyone knows that PP is in NL. Of course, she’d think that he’s died if the name changes, which wouldn’t be so fun, but it could provide a wonderfully emotional scene between Belle and Nealfire, (assuming they’re reunited by then).

That would be cool! And the Seer’s prophecy is so vague we’ve been thinking that Henry will be Rumple’s doing because Rumple is the ONLY Dark One but the prophecy could have been for another Dark One.
