I expect to be all across the board, but I’m honestly curious, what is the character you hate the most on this show and why? A real legitimate reason to hate a character (not, he/she is not the same depiction as in the Disney movies. Sorry, but that’s not a legitimate excuse to dislike a character).
I’ll come out with mine first: August/Pinocchio.
I hated that character twist in season one and as much as I hated the episode we got before the hiatus because it seemed like a cheap way to dispose of a character who had tremendous character growth in season one, to be reduced to a young boy with no memories of his adult life. Even for a character I didn’t like, it bothers me the way that story was wrapped up. (I think it’s my inner writer).
Note: No flaming or bashing other people for not liking a character you like. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Flaming is not the purpose for this thread.

First, for me, it’s Cora. The way she treated Regina is appalling. I think anyone who chooses power over family and love gets what they get. I have no sympathy for her whatsoever. Her life was hard at the start, I understand that but she made her choices and they were terrible ones.
Cora is the only character I hate but I’m not as enamored of Hook as many people in the fandom seem to be. There is denying that Colin is a fantastic piece of eye candy, but his story doesn’t do anything for me. I think Rumple struggle is much more interesting. And I know he lost his true love, but so did Regina and frankly I’d rather watch her fight her way back to the side of good than watch Hook do it. I don’t feel a great void in the show when Hook isn’t around. I find him entertaining but I’d rather see the CharmingStiltskins or even Neal since he is such a vital part of the show. I know many don’t feel this way and I can understand why, but he just doesn’t do much for me.
Finally, I can’t decide if my dislike for the Blue Fairy stems from a legit reason that I can point to in the show OR if she seems to be poorly written and therefore open to suspicion. Obviously there have been many threads devoted to Sneaky Fairy is Sneaky but unless we get some solid proof, I may have to concede that she is a rather poorly written character and that’s why I suspect her so much.

My reason is “no redeeming qualities” – when we found out that she didn’t have her heart, I thought, “Of course.” But it was her choice. Yes, it was a choice she made when she was very young, and this was a choice she couldn’t take back. Without her heart to inform her, she couldn’t make the decision to put her heart back in order to have love, even with her child. That decision colored all of her relationships and in the end, cost her her life.

I hated Regina in season one but in the beginning part of this season, I started to feel bad for her up until the point that she sided with her mom in ONE episode. Before that, she was ready to do the right thing and turn Cora in. I was really hoping for some smart cells to show up or something.
I wasn’t sure about Hook in the beginning too but I like him now. I see the love/hate from all sides because I’m a CS ‘shipper and a rumbelle ‘shipper. I understand why some rumbelle ‘shippers would hate Hook, but at the same time, I understand Hook’s pain where Rumpelstiltskin is concerned.

I somewhat agree there – I don’t think we have been given much about her to like or hate, so it’s hard to say when she is not a big part of the story.I hated Regina in season one but in the beginning part of this season, I started to feel bad for her up until the point that she sided with her mom in ONE episode. Before that, she was ready to do the right thing and turn Cora in. I was really hoping for some smart cells to show up or something.

I think both Hook and Rumple have reason to hate the other. It is hard for me to hate any character for acting true to their character. I expect Hook to go after Rumple and I expect Rumple to hate Hook for shooting Belle. I like Hook as a character very much because I suspect he has an interesting connection to a lot of people.
April 18, 2013 at 7:27 pm #186976RumplesGirlKeymasterRe: Hook. I suspect I will like him more in S3 when he has more story and it’s not just a one note “Kill Rumple!” and we actually delve into his back story. He might become a more interesting character for me at that point.

April 18, 2013 at 8:13 pm #186985schmackyParticipantAre we talking about hate as in cannot stand them and wish they weren’t on the show sort of hate? Or like a love to hate sort of hate? Because a lot of people are saying they hate Cora but.. well, we’re supposed to hate Cora lol. She was the villain. I hate her too. But, I liked that I hated her.
A character I really dislike is and always will be Sidney. The genie was OK but I could not stand Sidney.
April 18, 2013 at 8:23 pm #186989wewerecursedParticipantI actually LOVE Cora…because she’s so fun to hate! To me, she’s the only good villain in the show because Regina, Rumple and Hook have too many redeeming qualities. They’re not strictly evil. A villain, to me, who is all out evil to the point of twirling her metaphorical mustache like Cora so often, is an awesome baddy. Not to mention she’s Barbara Hershey. Who is amazing.
But hate? As in I’d be okay if the character left the show? Well up until recently I would have said The Blue Fairy, because that character just downright annoys me. But she’s so good on Bates Motel that I’ve developed a love of the actress…so I can’t hate her as much anymore.
But. I. Can’t. Stand. Tamara. Her character is just so pointless. I get that maybe they wanted a new villain who isn’t sympathetic to replace Cora, but come on. There’s no replacing Cora. I just. Urgh. Can’t stand anything about her. Especially her stupid magical taser.
I absolutely cannot WAIT for Emma to go all EMMA SMASH and body slam her like they've shown in the promos!!!!! I literally and honestly cheered when I saw that.
April 18, 2013 at 8:25 pm #186990RumplesGirlKeymasterOmgosh, how did I forget Tamara??? Yes, I hate her and I’m sure there is much this show can do to make me like and/or be sympathetic to her. I’m sure we’ll get more backstory on her soon but even then…doubtful that I’ll be more inclined to like her.
