I find sometimes there are characters I “love” to hate, and then some I hate but don’t want to ever see again. The ones I love to hate I wouldn’t mind seeing more of their story at some point.
Also I sometimes hate what Regina and Rumpel do, but am always interested to see more of their story, and don’t really hate either of them, because I am rooting for them to change.
I’m not sure about Tamara. Right now, I’d put her in the Hate and “dont let the door hit you on the way out” category, but will have to see why she is doing what she is if she can move up to the “love to hate” category.
Love to hate, but want to see more story of them so I can hate them some more:
I hated Jimminie’s parents, but was oddly amused by them too.I hated Cora for choosing power and for being so cavalierly evil (yet I felt the story needed a villain of that chilling caliber).
I hate James for being an all around…well everything Charming is not.
And Maleficient…actually, I didn’t even hate her, since we had such a short glimpse of her brand of evil, but I want to see more.
Hate and don’t want darkening the screen again:
King George/Spencer just annoys me. He murdered Gus/Gus to frame Ruby to undermine David. It was just stupid and convoluted. He even had the gall to say he didn’t murder a person, just hacked up a mouse. I suppose Cora makes a similarly deluded comment when she says she isn’t wicked, but at least she realized she was killing other human beings. She just didn’t care as might made right to her. George on the other hand, he dehumanized his victims (because Ruby is a were-wolf, Gus was a mouse) to excuse what he did. So George is not evil enough to be chilling like Cora, but there’s something I just find annoying about him.And the Blind Witch…..gravy or butter? Appallingly evil creature yes to eat little children, enough in itself to hate her, but on top of that, apparently she has so little problem gaining weight that she can worry about which fat to drip on her meals and live in a house of sweets. Of course I hate her. 😆

What I dislike about him though is the way he goes about it. He couldn’t get to Rumple so he went for Belle instead. She had nothing to do with Milah’s death, she wasn’t even born when that event occured yet Hook has made her suffer for it just because it would hurt Rumple. Hook didn’t just hurt Belle by shooting her, he took away her identity, that is a fate worse than death.
All magic comes with a price!

that’s actually a very good point.

Are we talking about hate as in cannot stand them and wish they weren’t on the show sort of hate? Or like a love to hate sort of hate? Because a lot of people are saying they hate Cora but.. well, we’re supposed to hate Cora lol. She was the villain. I hate her too. But, I liked that I hated her.
.
Characters you just hate, love to hate would qualify too.

EMMA SMASH
😆 😆 😆
Keeper Nealfire's/Bae's scarf, Henry and Neal's bribery ice cream sundae, Baelfire's sword, the coconut map, and more.
April 19, 2013 at 2:04 am #187097craxyfoxParticipantAhh I used to find Emma annoying in season 1, but I really love her now
I hated Cora because she was just a horrible mother 😆 She was a great villain no doubt, but I really feel for Regina, I guess I loved to hate her 😛
King George as mentioned previously, murdering Gus-Gus to frame Ruby was just too cold bloodedAlso Aurora, she was quite the princess and I could not stand her 😆
April 19, 2013 at 2:18 am #187105obisgirlParticipantI thought Emma was okay in season one. She wasn’t my favorite character but I like her much better this season.
April 19, 2013 at 2:23 am #187111RumplesGirlKeymasterThis is interesting because I went back and forth a lot with Emma in S1. In some respects I really understood her (having some pretty bad abandonment issues myself) but other times I got so frustrated with her lack of belief.
This season however she is my favorite female, without question.

I agree! I kept yelling at my screen for her to believe already 😆
But her character has grown a lot this season and I can’t wait to see some Emma and papa Charming moments 🙂April 20, 2013 at 6:03 am #187417PheeParticipantI hated Regina a fair bit in season 1. Not even in a “love to hate” kind of way, just a straight up, “you need a good hard slap” kind of hate whenever I saw her in SB. That being said, she was still fabulous when she was in EQ mode in FTL. It was really just SB Regina that I hated, because of how she emotionally abused Henry and tried to call it love.
April 20, 2013 at 6:27 am #187419wewerecursedParticipantI didn’t think of James, oh goodness how I love to hate him! He’s so awesome, but sort of hilarious, mostly because all I can think while watching him is, “Aw, you’re so cute, Josh Dallas. But nice try.” I think James and Hook would have been best friends. 😆
I also forgot about Ella. I…really didn’t like her. Which is unfortunate because before OUAT I loved Cinderella, but Ella actually managed to dampen my appreciation of the character somewhat. (So I watch Ever After, which takes care of that. ) Her story seemed so much more vain and selfish on her part the way they portrayed it. She was okay as Ashley, but I just wanted to smack Ella upside the head for being such an idiot. Read the fine print!!
