My problem with Snow’s black heart is that I wish it had lead to something. That black spot only appeared after she tricked Regina into killing Cora. But after that, it was instant regret and despite now having a dark mark on her heart, all she’s done is be our pure good Snow White. She slapped Marco, to be sure, but that was–dare I say–justifiable? I think it will come back in S3 but I hope they play those consequences out more because thus far her dark heart hasn’t served any purpose.

I liked how in the last episode, Snow questioned why even had a vial of Regina’s tears b/c why would someone like Gold keep a vial of Regina’s tears 😆 Everything has its purpose.
I have to think that showing how Snow’s heart darkened after she killed Cora had a reason too. I hope it doesn’t become a one time thing and maybe we will see the consequences of what Snow did next season. I mean, Snow and Regina are on the same ship going to Neverland. Even though everyone has a common goal to save Henry, Regina being Regina will probably have it out with Snow at some point over what she did to Cora.
Maybe Regina will even try to take her heart again but wouldn’t it be something if that dark spot is gone because Snow’s done everything she can to repent for what she did? That would be very interesting.

Interesting that you bring this up. I’ve been pondering the idea that because of her new darkened heart, Snow might be more willing to do whatever it takes to get Henry back, even following one of Regina’s less than honorable plans. While Charming will want to find Henry in a honorable way, I can’t see Regina being patient enough to follow suit and it would be REALLY interesting if Snow sided with Regina instead of Charming. Add some spice to Snowing.

Huh, I wasn’t thinking about it that way but interesting. Sort of like if Regina says to Snow, ‘Okay, you want to make it up to me? You follow whatever I say and you don’t question my methods.’ Like that?

Maybe. But it could also be that Snow now sees how Regina’s off the wall plans–that often lead to chaos and destruction–are better than Charming’s calm and collected ones. Not that Snow is going to go full Dark Side, but rather she’ll be inclined to follow Regina because her heart is now dark and she is willing to explore other options outside of heroism.

I’m not sure about that. Snow recognizes that killing Cora was the fastest and easiest route in the finale, but I’m not sure that Snow’s going all dark.

Regina will react like “the problem is what again?” and Emma, Snow and Charming will be horrified. I’m not sure where Rumpel and Hook will fall in that scenario. There’s also the question of how to react to GOAT–they may have a confrontation with them, where Regina will of course want to unleash her fury at what they did to her. Since Tamara shot Neal, Rumpel and Hook may just want to show Tamara that magic isn’t the only thing that comes with a price. I don’t see Emma or the Charmings going in for vengeance, though.

May 27, 2013 at 1:36 am #196210obisgirlParticipantI don’t think the Charmings would leave the other children behind. It might be, during the rescue, they decide okay, we’re going to save Henry but it’s only right and fair if we save the other kids too.

In previous episodes we’d seen of him, starting with the Crocodile, he was a snitch in fairytale world and he procured objects for people. but I found it very interesting in the finale, he had a different role: almost like Hook’s conscious or his compass, always trying to steer him towards his right path (at the time) towards his revenge.
You don’t see anyone else working that closely with Hook in the finale. Only him.
