In the beginning of 1×21, Mr. Gold and Regina both mentioned that killing Emma would break the curse. I remembered Mr. Gold had told Regina about this, and I thought Mr. Gold was lying to Regina for keeping her from killing Emma. I want to review that part but I can’t find it anymore. Does anyone remember which episode that was in?

Actually it is in this episode, 1×21 An Apple Red As Blood. Regina discovers, that the apples of her tree are rotting and rushes to Mr. Gold’s shop. The scene is after the flashback, when Regina saves Charming from being decapitated, about 6 minutes into the episode.

Have no good memory either, but I have some notes 😉
At least couldn’t find any mention before this episode.

Someone is doing a lot of work and transcripting the episodes. Great place to search for particular scenes and when what was said. http://ouattranscripts.wordpress.com/index/

It was a loophole in the curse. If it wasn’t True Love’s kiss, it would be Emma’s death that could also break the curse. But Regina still wanted to get rid of her, so the poisonous apple would have fixed that.

So… perhaps Emma was diagnosed with some fatal disease and that was what changed her entire life? You know, 28 years is a pretty random number, even for Rumple, maybe he knew she was going to die at that point and that would break the curse but somehow breaking the curse itself changed everything (even her illness?)
Random theory, but if this was a loopo in the curse, it would be broken sooner or later – even if she died of the old age or any other natural causes… Seems too important detail to be ignored?

Evil Queen. I don’t think that her dead would the cause to break the course. He said: We both know the repercussions in killing Miss Swan. The curse will be…”
So for me it means that should she be killed by somebody that the course would be broken.

But after all. Rumple created the course to get broken that he can find his son. He never wanted it to last forever, so it would not a real surprise that her dead was enough to break it.

Heros don't get their Happy Ending!

But with a word like repercussions I got the impression that killing Emma would actually bring about an unwelcome consequence. Unless he was saying that from Regina’s perspective killing Emma would break the curse which was what Regina did not want. However from Mr. Gold’s end breaking the curse would be a good thing…

That is unless there is a serious consequence for killing the “savior” and Mr. Gold was trying to remind Regina the price to pay for doing so was too high for either of them to pay?
