I don’t think I’ve ever posted in here but I decided to give my two cents before making my peace. If Neal were the one to bite it in 3×15/16 (disregarding the fact that the death of his character would mark the first time a regular would have died without having had a centric taking place within the characters final episode let alone not having one the entire season) wouldn’t the Darlings have been on set during the cemetery exterior/Granny Dinner shots? If they could afford to bring back and introduce minor characters such as The Dwarves, Blue, Little John,Roland, Aurora, Philip, Granny, Archie, Tinkerbell, Ariel, Eric, Cora, Young Eva, Zelena, Rapunzel and Blackbeard, surely they could afford to bring back vital supporting characters featured in this seasons main arc to help wrap up his story if this is according to Adam strictly a culmination of his/her arc considering Rumple wasn’t present for the alleged somber gathering that took pace in 3×16 either. And when applying the new fan theory going around that Henry may not have his memories back by this point what kind of bleak message would that send out? That Nealfire’s life was summarized as a martyr his entire life. Culminating in losing his father, son, and previous lover in the span of one day. Gets sent to the one place he ran away from his entire life while being separated from his ex lover/son only to be reunited for two or three episodes without a centric. Only to have his son during this brief period not remember who he is before shortly getting killed. It doesn’t exactly make sense given the tone and message of this show when you look at the bigger picture. Then again, this is the same show that gave us Magical Tasers and wiped away back stories that were established last season.
this is why I feel bad if it is Neal. I wish the writers had done a better job plotting out character arcs for all the main characters that would lead to HEA by the end of the series.

One more thing:
Whoever dies is not coming back at all, even in FB, and that’s amazing because whether it’s Belle or Neal, their story as part of Gold’s life is done. Now actually, I think that would lend itself more to Neal dying, because if they wanted to ever show him again, they could use Dylan in FB, not MRJ. In fact, Matt Mitovich, in his article about the death actually said that his/her portrayer is leaving the show (and he meant permanently). They could use DS for FB (because at this point, MRJ is the portrayer, not DS) because Gold would have his memories of Bae as a kid to FB to- he’d have few of Neal. The problem is that DS can’t fool anyone now, and certainly not in the future, that he’s as young as Bae was when he went through the portal.
Since MRJ posted a photo from outside the set today, I think we can now make a hugely strong case for Belle dying and not Neal SK, you seem upset by my comments; I never knocked your theory, but obviously I have a theory of my own……and now that MRJ is filming, well…..
Oh no no I’m just stating my view based on my theory. I said before I’d lean toward Belle and Bae most but the things about the graveyard scene and the fact that they have plans for her next season still give me pause even if we have the studio pic from MRJ today. We’ll see though

I am pretty sure it’s Ruby. For those of you who watched Lost (I didn’t watch all 6 seasons), didn’t they do something similar with the Michael character? He was a “Core” character for a season or 2…went away, and then was brought back and killed? They still labeled that the death of a “core” character.
Sounds identical to the Ruby situation…
Perhaps that’s my wishful thinking though. I like the character and all, but the actress has clearly moved on…
Ruby is not a regular, she’s not a main character……..and TV Line is very reliable. If Matt says it’s one of 8 characters, then I think you can believe him.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"I hate to say this because Hook is my favorite character, but I’m still thinking it might be him. Like others have suggested, I think there’s a possibility of him sacrificing himself at season’s end; that he’ll give his life, in exchange so someone else can live. Maybe it will be for Neal, or maybe it will be out of true love for Emma. Who knows, but if that’s where the story arch has been headed, then that’s why I can see Adam saying the story demands it, much as I hate it.
