@Sarah_TN the only thing I am going to say about your post is that I don’t think it could be Charming because they’ve said a few times that the end of Snowing would be the end of hope. And that’s what the show has always been about, I think, at the end of it all.
However, I do agree that they *really* need to work on developing Charming outside of just being one half of the show’s original power couple.

Agreed. And I hope that my post doesn’t offend anyone, but honestly, I just don’t think Charming and Belle are very strong characters, at all. Just like with Hook, I think there’d need to be more backstory to give them the storyline they’d need to bolster their potental. Otherwise, I believe they have strong backstories, but are “reporting in as present” at this point.

March 4, 2014 at 10:21 am #249840PheeParticipantExactly. I believe this death will be very hard-hitting among the fandom, and the way A&E are handling that is what tells me it’s probably a fan favorite. Fans will have an entire summer to “get over their mad” after this happens, and I think ABC is banking on dust settling, and then everyone tunes in next fall. If the death is my favorite, I can honestly say I probably won’t.
Yep, it’s what makes the best business sense. It wouldn’t surprise me if some people do drop the show if their absolute fave dies, but in the grand scheme, I doubt that would have a huge effect on S4 ratings. Ending with a big bang like a major death would probably guarantee that casual viewers would remember the finale, and wanting to see the aftermath of it would likely get them coming back for S4. And at the end of the day, it’s the casual viewing audience at large that dictates the ratings, so that’s something they’d take into consideration.
March 4, 2014 at 10:32 am #249844RumplesGirlKeymasterWho’s writing 3×20? 3×21? 3×22?
I just saw this part of @Sarah_TN post.
320 was written by Andrew Chambliss and Kalinda Vaquzez.
Adam and Eddy are writing 322.
321 could be anyone, but Hull hasn’t written anything since 314.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 4, 2014 at 11:43 am #249852ready_to_rumbelleParticipantIt would be only logical that the death happens in episode 22. I don’t buy any of the reports saying that the death scene was already filmed. Usually, A & E write the big moments, which especially happen in the (mid-)season finales and these episodes always have light moments and big shockers.
Season 1: In the midseason finale of season 1, Emma started to open up and let someone in and in the exact moment, Graham dies. In the season finale, the curse is broken but magic comes to SB.
Season 2: Everyone is reunited but Cora manages to get to SB in “The Queen of Hearts”. At the end of the season finale, the town is saved and everyone seems to be happy but bummer: Henry is kidnapped and the gang has to face “someone we all should fear” according to Rumple.
Season 3: Regina can prevent Pan’s curse from being enacted but Gold had to “kill” himself in order to stop PP. Finale: Everyone is celebrating a “splashy wedding” but then someone dies??? That’s kind of my head canon based on some spoilers we got…
Now about the character that will kick the bucket: my money is on a certain pirate who has apparently filmed a lot recently. Are they wrapping up his story? Maybe. However, I, like many others, think that the “originals” are safe for reasons that have already been mentioned a few times (business/ratings, hope, you don’t kill a kid etc). Which leaves Hook, Belle and Nealfire. My guess that it will be our devilishly handsome Killian Jones is just based on my personal interpretation of A & E’s definition of a family show which aims to reunite a father with his son and gives the ultimate villain the chance to redeem himself and find his happy ending with his family and TL (which also fits perfectly for Regina and not only Rumple).

In the ONCE UPON A FAN interview, Adam/Eddy made it sound like they’d already written the death, so it’s possible they wrote the death even in someone else’s episode (that is, written b y someone else).
Emilie’s tweeted recently and she made it sound like she’s been filming…..she asked what she would do on her weekends off from ONCE now that House of Cards is done for the season. That makes it sound like she’s been filming. Also, apparently the actress who tweeted MRJ was used as a photo double for Belle…..probably that day or around that same day. Photo Double means that, instead of bringing in the actor/actress for something very minor, they use someone who looks physically like them – at least from a distance. The actress apparently said she also photo doubled for Lana and Jen.

my updated theory fits with what you’re saying about that actress Ashley McDonald is her name I guessed that she was subbing in for Emilie because they’re the same height but I guess wigs and heels and stuff you can make up for 3 inches.
One thing I didn’t include in my theory was that since the spoiler was released it’s been talked about in like past tense form. Like I remember them saying it was so emotional for them to write. That it’s something they decided to do, if it’s in the finale they wouldn’t have written it yet and from the time the spoiler was released to the finale was a fair number of episodes the way they talked about it seems like the story took them to the death at that point not like after these episodes we haven’t filmed yet it will lead to the death when we eventually write it.

Sometimes writers will write a big scene ahead of time because it needs a lot of work or revision or they want to make sure they really nail it. So it’s possible it was written by A and E already but not inserted into a script until a season finale.
Just something else to consider

yeah I thought about that and I really didn’t feel confident enough making that jump so that’s why I didn’t include it in my “official” theory. I just think they way they said it to me doesn’t quite fit with them writing an end point like that decided that this characters story will be over and filling in the rest to meet at that point? I think at that point there was a few episodes that hadn’t been written yet right?
btw did u get to read my theory RG? I was wondering what you thought?
