I am not necessarily rooting for him to be anyone in particular, Peter Pan was just a thought. But I am not found of him being Frankenstein at all.
I don’t like him being Frankenstein either because it is really random… Frankenstein mixed in with Greek mythology and fairy tale characters? It’s just weird but I would like to see how they lay this out
K&H have said since before S1 started, last year, they are doing stories….all genres are fair game…and it fits the storyline by making Daniel Dr Frankenstein’s ‘monster’
Yeah I know it just seems really out of place but your right, daniel is going to be completely changed when he sees Regina. But maybe he will realize he loves her and then she’ll turn good again 😀
I’m gonna guess that whatever Dr Frankenstein tries, doesn’t workout…Regina goes through with the curse and doesn’t have her true love, Daniel, back, so…..
I can’t help thinking he is something to do with Pinocchio because of the Whale thing…
Yeah I know it probably won’t turn out well and he’ll end up dying again which is gunna be bad for Regina. I just feel bad.. She’s already lost him once.
With certain characters having dual-roles (i.e Rumple/Croc/Beast), has me wondering if Dr. Whale/Dr. Frankenstein, could also actually be Monstro.
I’ve heard some theories on this but most have mentioned it in a literal sense, that he was an actual Whale. Jimminy Cricket wasn’t an actual Cricket in the Enchanted Forest, why would Dr. Whale have to be an actual Whale.
I know Whale is a reference to James Whale (Director of Frankenstein), but could it also be a reference to being the Whale that consumed Pinocchio?
By consume, it could have been actually just transporting Pinocchio to Dr. Whale’s world (similar to the whirlpool that took Hook to Neverland).
Could it be that Dr. Whale actually turned Pinocchio into a real boy with Science?
Just a theory.
Hmmm, I doubt it…for several reasons 🙂
K&H already said, Dr Frankenstein is from a ‘World without Color’.
Monstro is from the Fairy Tale World.
We saw Gepetto and a wooden Pinocchio battle Monstro, and the Blue Fairy showed up – she’s the one who turned Pinocchhio into a real boy.
That scene/eps was the nod to Monstro, and I really don’t see a reason for them to bring Monstro back into the story.
Dr Frankenstein needed Jefferson’s hat to go between worlds, so, I don’t see him actyally being a portal, in whale form.
Pinocchio didn’t go to anyother world except our world, through the wardrobe, like Emma did.
Hmmm, forgot about the episode with the whale.
I guess I should go back and rewatch that one.
