If anyone should take the fall, it’s me for suggesting she’s Sophie’s body-double rather than J-Mo’s. The brown leather jacket is certainly the same coat that Emma was stuck in for 11 episodes. So, the only way that the body-double could be for Sophie rather than J-Mo is if Alice raided Emma’s closet and then stole the keys to her bug. Seems unlikely to me since someone like Alice from fictional Victorian England certainly wouldn’t know how to drive a modern car. But still, why the fancy up-do?

Just to add to this conversation, she took her hair out of the bun when they were actually filming the scene. I think it was up so that the fans watching didn’t connect the dots.
Maybe it was up to keep it from getting straggly. It did look arranged and fancy, but maybe that was just a side effect of how they’d pinned it up because they are hairstylist artist types.
