I’m not convinced of that at all. Just because he hasn’t been seen on set, doesn’t mean he’s not shooting. And I don’t think the death is happening in this ep anyway.
It is possible that we won’t see the pictures about Lana and Rebecca and the whole big showdown, because maybe it is such a spoiler that people on the set were asked not to make photos of it. Hence the whole “Just WOW, what I witnessed tonight” teasing. They cannot tell, but they can’t help but glee over they know something others don’t.
That would be unbearably cruel, no it would be unfair and absolutely horrible, if Gold were forced to kill Belle or Bae. I don’t think that’s going to happen, though. I think the death will just happen……
I wonder how the WW knew about the dagger…….ugh and I can’t believe his sacrifice didn’t break his curse. It’s ridiculous – Belle’s kisses don’t work anymore, his sacrifice doesn’t work…………

That would be a very tense situation if Rumple’s forced to kill his own son while captive.
