They’d have written a scenario where Rumple could be there if they were gonna bury Neal. Blue should also definitely be there, considering she’s one of only a couple of people in town who actually knew him way back in the day. If Sean’s on the same cemetery set, (likely because he’s in Josh’s chair), he’s certainly not dressed for a funeral, and he knows Neal from FTL, so he’d be dressed for the funeral if it was Neal’s.
Also, Henry looks pretty happy in the car pic for a kid who had his dad die a couple of days ago. So IF it was a funeral, (this person was on set last week, in the cemetery no less, and are only now talking about what they saw? Suspicious IMO), for multiple reasons, there’s not much logic to it having been Neal’s funeral.

I’m not. I’m questioning the legitimacy of a source and taking it as absolute. Like I said a few pages back, we can’t take a lot of this stuff as gospel. This could be anything. We’re reading into it because we know about the spoiler. Maybe this does say funeral, but if we didn’t have the spoiler, I don’t know that we’d all go “NEAL!” just because no one sees MRJ. Seeing him and him not being there are not the same.
Why is Rumple not there, isn’t he being controlled by the witch? She has his dagger so that’s probably why he’s not there and she said in her report she met Blue as well.
maybe you didn’t see my edit but A and E would figure out some magical hand waving to allow Rumple to be at his son’s funeral. They’d have him knock out the witch with some spell or sneak off. We know the DO can do that. Zoso got away from the Duke to speak to Rumple. I can’t picture any sort of writing where Rumple doesn’t figure out a way to be at his son’s funeral.
They seem dressed for the occasion is all I’m trying to say.
They seemed dressed for an occasion but again we’re making leaps as to what that occasion is based on the spoiler.
Please don’t shoot the messenger, I have just as many questions as you do but the evidence saying it’s Neal is stacking up unfortunately.
I’m not shooting any messenger. And the evidence isn’t stacking up for Neal. We’re offering a different viewpoint. If it it’s a funeral there is no reason that it has to be Neal’s. There was some spec that two people die this half–the one actor who is upset and wants to leave and trashed his trailer (spec from a PA and sounds nothing like MRJ given how much he hangs out with out the cast outside of the set) and then one of the series regulars. It could be any other character if it’s a funeral. Maybe Neal comes in later. Maybe he’s off trying to save Rumple. Him not being there does not equate to death.

Now the below doesn’t mean that Neal isn’t the one, but if he does, I do not think this is “it”. It still could be Belle or Hook – the only 2 other real possibilities.
I will say that the car scene could take place before this scene as they do shoot out of order…..but if it takes place after, yeah, Henry is too happy, lol.
As to funeral dress, most men wears suits……certainly young men Henry’s age. They don’t dress that casually………
Just because Neal isn’t there doesn’t mean he’s dead – and he was filming in this episode, more than once (with Jen and also at what appears to be the Gale farmstead, which I suspect comes at the end of the episode, or at least after the confrontation in the street).
I’ve seen arguments that Neal’s death would be redundant; I don’t buy it. Why would his death be redundant and not Belle’s? We saw Rumple’s reaction to it…..decades of mourning.

The cemetery pics were for 316, (Mario is there, and he directed 316), but haven’t they now moved on to shooting 317, which is what the car pics are for? Adam tends to tweet the scripts when they’re about to start shooting the next ep.
January 29, 2014 at 11:43 pm #241556SlurpeezParticipantI actually find it kind of hilarious that pics of everyone signing a jersey that says “O’Neil” of all things, has people jumping to conclusions about Neal’s death, (not suggesting that people think the name on the jersey is related, just saying, the coincidence makes me LOL).
The #14 O’Neil “Traveling Jersey” has nothing to do with Neal, the character. The person who posted the pictures gave a link to the real story behind the pics of the actors signing the “traveling jersey.” It’s actually very heartwarming and simultaneously sad. You can read more about it in the link provided here.

Yes the car pic of Henry and Charming were from today, which is 317. These other pics in question are 316 (Mario being there). So…yeah Henry looks a little too gleeful if his dad just died.

Maybe that’s all part of cheering a child up. I mean isn’t that what family will do? Try to cheer up the child anyway they know how. Including even doing something as ludicrous as teaching the kid how to drive.
Anything to try to make him move on?

Only a day or so after his father died? No. You give a kid the chance to grieve. He didn’t have a chance to grieve the last time he thought his father died, so if it happened for real, they’d allow him to properly work through it instead of saying, “Here kid, cheer up, wanna driving lesson?” the next day. Both Snow and Charming know what it feels like to have their parents die, so I can’t believe that they’d be trying to force LOLz out of Henry that soon after is father had died.

From the death of his father 24 hours before? When Archie died, they let him sit in MM’s room and mourn and make phone calls to Archie’s voice mail.
Nothing makes a child move on from loosing a parent–especially that young. Snow and Charming both lost their parents young (we assume Charming’s father died a few years before The Shepard) so they know how hard that would be. It’s not something that can be fixed with a car ride and a hug.
And if that’s what the writers are trying to do (sorry you lost your father, here learn to drive at the age of 13 while a wicked witch is terrorizing your adoptive mom and our town and has your other grandfather captive) then…we’ve got bigger problems than a supposed funeral scene.
also, think about this: if this was an actual filming set with a funeral, why haven’t we heard about it elsewhere? VCF? Canadagraphics? Yappity? Katman? Those are our “go-to’s” and not a peep about a funeral set.
I’m not saying it’s not a funeral, I’m saying I’m highly suspicious about the scene as a whole.

They’ve filmed in the cemetary before…..I still believe the Dorothy Gale farm scene takes place after the confrontation, and Neal was there.
We’re just going to have to wait.
