Perhaps the pumpkins are for thanksgiving? Maybe the majority of season 2 and beginning of season 3 took place October/November time?

Present day Storybrooke is supposed to be only 5 days after the ship went through the portal to Neverland

Present day of 310, yes, I guess. But again…we have Tword issues. Let’s say S1 was 9 months long. Oct-May. S2 at most is only three months in length (and I think that’s pushing it). May-August. Which means that when they come back to SB, it should be August/October 2012.  But this further complicated by the appearance of the same pumpkins in 205, The Doctor, which was supposed to be a Halloween episode.(does this make sense)
