Here are those photos of Emma and Hook:
What is Hook holding in his hand? Looks like a purple glass, perhaps containing a potion of some kind? Also, I noticed that Hook’s facial expression looks anxious. I wonder if they’re supposed to be in NYC, given the title of 3×12. And if so, why exactly is Hook dressed like a pirate still? Supposedly, Belle is there too, plus another unidentified character (possibly Rumple). It seems like an odd grouping, and the 4 of them would be in NYC without Neal, who has an apartment there. Do you think they’re searching for Neal? Has he gone missing again? Knowing Neal’s luck, who knows?
YVRS also reports “Once” was shooting at Gastown’s Koret Lofts. I did a quick search and here is what the outside of the Koret Lofts looks like:
I’m almost certain that the building in “Manhattan” where Neal’s apartment is located. If so, that means 4 actors were filming there on Tuesday, Nov. 12, in downtown Vancouver with the intent of it looking like NYC. Just did a quick search, and the neighborhood known as Gastown is indeed the same place that is meant to be Neal’s neighborhood in “Manhattan.” You can see pics from the filming of 2×14 here.[adrotate group="5"]"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. I wandered around in the street view a bit, but don’t think there’s anything matchy from Manhattan.
You’d think that if they were gonna go on a trip to NYC, they’d have made Hook change clothes. But he does appear to be wearing the hand attachment, instead of the hook, so maybe they are outside of SB?

Maybe MRJ just wasn’t shooting today. Bobby wasn’t there today either according to tweets, but he was there previous day.

I think it’s something involving Neal…possibly he’s gone missing, Emma’s concerned by it, and Hook is helping Emma save Neal…again, this time using the magic potion to try and track him (e.g. like the tracking spell Rumple gave David in S2 to track Jefferson).

I agree. I don’t want Neal to be the punching bag of this show anymore. That’s been done all ready more than enough times. I hope it’s something else like you mentioned about getting to the EF or something unrelated to that but Neal just isn’t in that particular scene for this episode.
#MoreBOOMLessGloomThe context is so hard to guess. It is true that purple is often magic (the smoke when magic came to town, Cora’s poofing color of choice). So I’m guessing a magic potion of some kind, and they definitely look concerned. I would guess they are working on the new curse.
I think going to NY to get some magical item would make sense. Neal definitely had a lot of random things in there! Yet it doesn’t look like HIS block, so maybe it is some new character they will meet? I remember once that someone summarized Ruby as “preventing Henry from intruding on the main plot” and perhaps that’s alas, the role Neal has right now. Someone has to do it!

The biggest takeaway is the description of the scene being filmed:
We will be filming a dialogue scene at 915 West Hastings St. Our scene involves two actors talking outside of a New York Police Station.
The question then becomes which two actors and why are they outside a NYPD? This seems to add to my theory that perhaps there is a missing person to report (e.g. Neal) or some other crime.
