What if Quiet Minds, #15,  is not a Belle-centric, but a Rumple-centric?

As much as I love Rumple, I think Belle deserves a backstory in S3; Rumple has already had 2 character-centric episodes (3×4 and 3×8)! While I’d love Rumple to be in the FB or present-day in 3×15, I want to see Belle at the helm this time. It’s been a long time since “The Outsider” and then the disaster of Lacey that ensued. Belle deserves her own story outside of 3×7, which she played a significant role in but didn’t feature in any backstories.

What if Quiet Minds, #15, is not a Belle-centric, but a Rumple-centric? That could be the episode where we find out more about where he is and it would make sense since I believe (not sure as I’ve never seen it) in the Disney movie that Lumiere was Beast’s friend. Yes, I know we saw Belle’s name on the whiteboard, but it could still be Rumple-centric involving FTL (old, not the prior year) FB

I sorta feel like it’s Rumbelle centric instead of either Rumple or Belle.

My own headcanon is this:

–present day Belle goes after Rumple having learned somehow that he’s alive

–past flashback is Rumple and Belle in the DO castle with Lumiere, maybe dealing with some sort of problem as a team. Post-“Lacey” flashback. (and a ball room scene….please for the love of everything)

Maybe with Lumiere being there in the flashbacks and hopefully in the present day too, we will finally get the dance (flashback) and the reunion (present day).

Agreed, we’re definitely due for a Belle-centric. Of course Rumple will play a role in that, but I’m kinda hoping he’s not even in the ep a huge amount. From what we’ve seen, Belle was the only person in the castle with Rumple, (when he didn’t have anyone to torture) so I think Lumiere may end up being someone from Belle’s household, instead of Rumple’s.

I think that’s a really interesting twist! Lumiere was the beast’s confidant but he was also the one who really welcomes Belle into the castle. He’s the one who feeds her and invites her to be their guest. (I HAD TO)

If you read the character summary for him on the Disney Wikia, I could see them taking his traits but twisting it around to make him part of the French household instead…

Lumière is a kind-hearted, yet rebellious, servant of the Beast. He has a habit of disobeying his master’s rules that results in controversy, but after Belle, he is arguably the Beast’s closest friend, demonstrated when the Beast often turns to Lumière and no one else for advice. His free-spirited and rebellious personality also often puts a severe strain on his friendship with Cogsworth, whom prefers to abide strictly by his master’s rules so as to avoid any trouble for himself and anyone else, but as shown many times in the game and film series, he values Cogsworth like a brother.

Maybe he was sort of an uncle figure to Belle, either biologically or just a close friend of Mo’s, and maybe he helped to raise her after her mother died. Maybe “Uncle Lou” is where Belle gets her rebel side from. He’d encourage her to think big, and Mo would scold him for putting ideas in her head.

We never got any news about who had been cast as Lumiere, did we?

Also I have to laugh at this:

Moe has English-esque accent

Belle has Australian accent

Rumple has Scottish accent

Lumiere has French accent.

LOL I thought the guy playing Mo, (who I believe is Canadian) did a decent job of sounding like an Aussie, but yeah, FTL is quite the mish-mash of accents. Bae sounded nothing like a kid who had been raised by a Scottish man. 😛

You could be right, though I can’t see Belle finding out about Gold so soon….. I would love more Rumbelle FTL FB, post-Lacey and/or post-curtain scene (I’m DYING for awkard Rumbelle; there’s no way their friendship wouldn’t be a bit awkward after realizing they each had feelings for each other).

Just some random thoughts:

I admit that I don’t see how a dancing scene fits unless it’s part of some dream/fantasy sequence because dancing is a pretty intimate activity and Rumple could barely handle being close to Belle, lol

The whiteboard said something about Belle finds……Lumiere. Now I wonder if possibly in cleaning up the DC,  Belle comes across Lumiere …….? It’s possible Lumiere was the one servant Rumple had (he didn’t technically need one, with his magic, but the loneliness thing…….) and he turned him into a candle, lol.   I really don’t want him to be part of Belle’s household because while I want more of her background, I crave Rumbelle. We’re not going to get much of it at all, if any, in the present time, so I want as much as I can get in the past

Slurpeez, yes she deserves a centric……I wasn’t implying that I didn’t want this to be  Belle’s, but I think it’s a possibility.  Still, I do think this is probably hers.
