I like the idea that the big design on the ground represents a compass in some way. Would certainly play into the typical Oz mythology which has the witches from each compass direction. Why would it need to be drawn out so big like that though? I’m wanting to say it’s gotta be portal related somehow. Maybe this is the nexus point of the NewCurse or something?

Agreed. It’s a portal of some sort (though, why is the Witch there with them if they are all trying to get to Oz to find her?) Does this mean that no one has the shoes?

Maybe it’s a portal to get to OZ. I’m wondering if Zelena intends to use it to escape and Emma, Robin Hood, David and Hook either try to stop her from going through it or Follow her trail through it to OZ.

If they follow her through it to OZ I ‘m wondering if we will see Rumple, Neal, Belle there as well maybe this episode is what puts everyone back together before Epispdes 321 & 322

Jafar drew a symbol on the ground when he summoned that dragon creature in WL so it could be part of a spell. And also, the thing looks like one of those imprints that the rainbow bridge leaves when it opens a portal in the Thor movies
