I shared this theory in the chatroom, but I think somehow Zelena changes the past so that Regina was never born. In the sneak peek for episode 31, Zelena says her problem with Regina was that she “was born.” I think Zelena wants the life she feels she was robbed of.

If Regina were never born then Henry wouldn’t have been born either.
Rumple needed Regina to cast the dark curse. If Regina hadn’t been born, she never would’ve cast the dark curse, Emma would’ve grown up in the EF. Emma never would’ve met Neal and therefore never would’ve conceived Henry.

Exactly. A lot of things that would be interesting to see. A What-If scenario, if you will.

My only issue with it being the AU wherein Regina was never born, is that Hook has changed also. For Hook to be all chipper like he is (and possibly have two hands), something waaaaay before Regina had to happen.

So Emilie was filming (probably with Bobby) in studio yesterday (I assume today as well)  – probably  in the Dark Castle.

I really really don’t want an AU because it would truly suck for Rumbelle. Yeah, they’d still love each other, but all of their trials and tribulations have made them stronger and for them to not have gone through that……..

I’d like to think they’ll be together by end of 3B, but Adam and Eddy just always manage to destroy any hope I have for them.  I’m basically over being upset about the kiss (sigh), but they just shot down a possible Rumbelle wedding.

Don’t worry, they only shot down that the scene about “Mrs. Gold” was foreshadowing.  That doesn’t mean a wedding won’t happen.  It could still go either way.  Hope isn’t gone until the episode has aired.

I could see Zelena doing something that eliminated Regina, but it would have to be something more involved than just changing that one fact of Regina’s birth and thus altering history and creating an AU. If Hook’s a straight up, well bred gentleman in this version, like his costume might suggest, that means no pirate, no Milah, no Hook, no NL, so he shouldn’t be alive to be able to interact with everyone else because he lived a couple of centuries beforehand.

I could see it if Zelena cast a curse that created a new FTL reality in present day though, in which peoples’ status got swapped around, meaning that Zelena’s probably Queen and Regina’s a peasant in some far away land, like Zelena was in Oz.

What if we are looking at this at a different angle?

What if the person in question is Rumple and the Seer? If Rumple never saw the Seer he would not have left the Ogre Wars, thus he would have never become the Dark One. If Cora never interacted with the DO she would have never of had Regina.
