Of course he does. I trust Larry quite a bit. But the issue is still the business side of this. Why would a crew member (with a job) spill that Bobby is either coming back or leaving? Get a whiff of any of that and it’s spoiled either way–his death or his survival.
We were told Bobby has a 5 year contract, so he could be penciled in to return, I guess
Sure. And MRJ denied leaving the show up until 315 and even THEN it wasn’t until the upfronts and the official press release that people accepted he wouldn’t be in S4 because actors are tricky and have silence clauses written into their contract. Honestly, even if Bobby was leaving or staying…no one would say.
Also, the keyword in Adam’s statement is “announced.” Just because they didn’t announce Season 5 casting doesn’t mean that it isn’t being discussed internally.
Well of course it’s being discussed internally. However paps are not internal.
And the narrative of this season seems to be leading in one direction with Rumple. Now they could do an about face and go to “removal of dark curse and return of humanity” (though, it would happen in the 11th hour and would probably feel very unsatisfactory at this rate given his rapid fire descent into absolute evil) but right now, as it stands, the narrative of the story is “Rumple gonna die!”

Isn’t it possible that Mr. Gold could die in the present but RC could still be back next season to film Rumpel flashbacks?

I mean, if he has a 5 season contract, I’m sure that would still fulfill it. Plus he has said he enjoys playing Rumpel more than Gold. Plus Rump has met everyone in the past so im sure even if he dies, he’d still be there for flashbacks.This is what I actually am leaning towards will happen, Watcher. It would allow for a reduction on his filming time if he wants it, but he’s still a member of the cast.

So, Emma sacrifices herself? Granted, I think we can all say if she does, she won’t stay gone. But this would fulfill the long awaited theory that the Savior will eventually “die.”
