My theory is this is the Enchanted Forest during the Missing Year because Mulan and Ruby were on set as well. That would explain why Zelena is green and where the two of them have been recently.

We saw Ruby in Storybrooke after the Missing Year, so that wouldn’t explain her current disappearance.

Call me crazy, but I feel more than ever that the theory I posted here is right and Zelena’s going to have filled the Morgana role in the past (remember, she had the silver slippers at least until Dorothy, could have easily realm-hopped all she wished). For whatever reason they’re filming 5.08 and 5.09 together, right? “Birth” may or may not refer to Zelena’s baby (*coughMordredcough*), sure, though I’m not sure how that works timeline-wise. HOWEVER – I know some people are thinking “The Bear King” is a Merida episode, but for what it’s worth, Arthur is sometimes said to mean Bear King and 5.09 is a Chambliss solo episode; he wrote both Zelena-centrics in 3B, with “It’s Not Easy Being Green” being one of only two episodes he’s gotten a solo writer’s credit for.
