ParticipantThis is probably old news by now, but someone posted set photos recently. Source: Tumblr
Take it with a grain of salt, but here comes another potentially big spoiler:
Now, I don’t know Greek (help @RumplesGirl – can you confirm?), but someone supposedly translated the inscription on the table, which means roughly “Only a heart filled with true love can pass.”

ParticipantI think fans were saying that this set was for 521 i believe, there is also one set that was The River of Souls for 514 and one of OZ for 516 i believe.

Keymaster*blinks* Hey look real(ish) Greek!
Translation: yes that’s a rough translation. It’s not how actual Greeks would have written it (it’s too perfect word order…like they took the English words and simply put them into Greek whereas Greek would have words placed in any order it dang well wanted).
Interesting that they’re using “agape” for love—there are several words in Greek for love but agape has a lot of Christian meaning nowadays and it meant a more universal, cosmic love instead of brotherly, more common love.

KeymasterInteresting note: the verb they’re using for “cross” (perasis—rendered in the above as perasei) gets used in some classic texts to mean passage from life to death and to pass through gates.

If A&E were saying the true, then maybe they will use the River of souls for the passage of people to Hell or tartarus and this may be the Mount olympus that they said Matt is sort of their heaven/elysium??

ParticipantAnd I’ll just leave it at this. It is absolutely the writer’s own fault for feeling they can’t develop Robin as an intriguing character on screen. But as a fan, and a viewer of the show, I could care less that they are killing off good parents frequently. If Robin is boring to watch, why shouldn’t I be happy that they are getting rid of him? I want to watch exciting things. It is the writer’s fault for him being boring, no doubt. But as a fan, I want to watch intriguing television and he is too boring to care about. And it will be an emotional death and I think it will force the writers to actually acknowledge that Henry still exists in Regina’s world. Now if we only could get rid of Hook so Emma can do the same.

Ummm…I don’t think they ever forgot Henry exists in Regina’s world…last episode kind of showed that. Henry will always come first for Regina….now as for him coming first for Emma, well I don’t know about that.
And the issue with killing off all of the good parents is the fact that it sends out morally corrupt messages to the youth watching this series. And if Adam and Eddy’s only way of dealing with “boring” characters is to kill or write them off completely, then they certainly are not qualified to be hailed as master storytellers like they think they are.
And if we’re going to just go killing characters, then why not just kill the whole cast because every character in OUAT could be perceived as boring in their own way….Regina is too snarky and sarcastic, Rumple is just a mustache twirling baddie, Emma is a doe eyed loving fool, Snow is beyond selfish, Charming is dumb as bricks, Belle is nothing but a plain book worm, Henry is just there to be there, and Zelena is just….Zelena! Every character could be considered boring in their own way. but if they are perceived as such, then the fault lies with the writers who instead of killing the situation, should try to resolve the issue by writing them in a finer style.
Hell just look at Will Scarlett, we all know how his actor feels about what happened to his character. Adam and Eddy are just not good at these sort of things.

Yeah, it’s not the word “eros” which is commonly associated with sexual love and desire, “philos” which is more platonic love between close friends or “storge,” which I understand is the kind of family affection that exists between parents and children. I think “agape” certainly now has a more Christian meaning like the love between God and humans, but it also can mean charity, benevolence, and unconditional love: the highest form of love there is.

To compare the character of Robin Hood with Rumple, Regina, and the rest of the main cast, is just criminal. None of those characters are boring. All those characteristics of being love happy, selfish, dumb, snarky are all characteristics. It’s what separates them from everyone else. It’s what makes them unique. What on earth is Robin? A good father. Ok, we like rarely see that but ok. What about his personality? Other than being a thief in a past life, he doesn’t have a personality. Mainly because he rarely speaks. All he’s done since the end of season 3 is hold up his arrow and threaten to shoot it. Robin has had like 1 flashback. It’s ok to kill off a boring character. He could not be boring, but he is and that’s the writer’s fault.
And Henry was a side note for Regina for the entire first half of this season. Last episode was different and I think it’s setting us up for a better relationship with those two once Robin kicks the bucket.
