Cursed Hook’s last name is Rogers.
You got a source for this? Well, I’m going with Wish Realm Characters for the moment. A new Big Bad (Anwar) cursed the Wish Realm folks into Seattle so our original characters–Hook, Rumple, Regina–are really back in SB and we’re gonna see the Wish Realm people find happy endings (but without their SB counterpart’s partners. So..Wish Realm!Rumple may get a happy ending but it doesn’t include Belle HIS version of Belle is dead. WishRealm!Hook gets a happy ending but it doesn’t include Emma since HIS version of Emma is the REAL Emma and she’s living her ending in SB with REAL Hook.)
As much as I’d prefer it to be the WR characters I’m not sure that’s the route they’re going but it would definitely protect the happy endings.

Hmm. He’s writing stories, imagining his characters to be based on the people he knows; they come to life in Seattle but again aren’t the actual people back home in SB. Still protects the happy endings.
That might work, especially because, like @slurpeez said, WR doesn’t quite fit with how we left certain characters–like Hook’s appearance and Rumple’s self-awareness
I’m just…idk. It works but is it too convoluted? Because invariably, knowing these writers, they’ll make Fictional!Hook(Rogers) meet Real!KillianJones(Hook) and the audience’s head will explode.

Hook = ___ Rogers; I suspect they’ll keep the Irish theme going (Liam, Killian, Brennan).
Rumple = whatever it is, I bet he goes by the nickname “Chip” because soooo many fictional cops have cliche nicknames (Chip, Mac, Quill) that are based on some part of their name. Henry, as an author might use that. So, Charles _____? Maybe his last name has something to do with the original Rumple legends (like Mr. Gold) or they could branch out and pull from Rumple’s Onceiverse mythos, like using something that means “Dark”.

It is really convoluted. I just am really hoping that there is something different going on here then they are cursed. I, personally, don’t want Regina and Rumpel to be different versions then the ones we have had for all these years. I just don’t see the point in that. Regina needs to be the Regina that is Henry’s mom and Rumpel needs to be the Rumpel who let Bae go and did the curse to find him. They need to be those people.
The writers of this show are so bad though and for years they have just done the same thing over and over again. They are cursed and have lost their memories, so they don’t know what is going on and they get them back and hug and it is all fine. I just keep wanting them to write character reasons, like the characters making actual decisions that actually matter. At least, it looks like the first episode is mostly about Henry, Dania, and Lucy with a side introduction of the new characters and the police station.
We will see, we will see. Hopefully, we will get some real information from all the interviews at comic con.
