So, at some point prior to Prince Charming being taken captive, Snow learned how to use a sword. Maybe she learned to sword-fight as the only child and heir to King Leopold’s kingdom, especially since she became a daddy’s girl after her mother’s death. While perhaps unorthodox for a princess to learn fighting skills, as a crown princess, Leopold might have given his daughter extra “male” training should she ever need to defend herself and her kingdom.

I don’t think Leopold would’ve trained Snow to fight. He was old school. He would’ve expected Snow to get married and Hubby to have done all the protecting and defending. Belle even made a point about how women in the land weren’t given opportunities to be heroes and Mulan had to really fight to be taken seriously as a soldier because she was a woman.

Is there any evidence to suggest that Leo was “old school” with regards to women in leadership roles? As far as we know, he was delighted that Snow was the heir to his throne. Also, Leo didn’t seem interested in fathering a son with Regina either, probably to protect Snow’s claim to his crown.  So, I’m not so sure Leo would have just left matters of state and defense to a would-be son-in-law. Leo seemed like the kind of proud papa who would want his daughter to have the best education. Also, while I agree that women overall in FTL weren’t given the same opportunities as men, Snow as crown princess is an interesting exception to the norm. While both Belle and Mulan had to work extra hard just to have an adventure, they aren’t crown princesses and therefore don’t have the same expectations of leadership that Snow has. Snow has been given the very best and then proven she has tenacity when Regina caused her to flee.

There is nothing to suggest, so far as I can recall, that Leo was old fashioned in his views. He seemed perfectly happy to have Snow take over his kingdom, like Slurpeez said. However, I think it’s a more interesting story if RH taught Snow how to sword fight and how to shoot and she and Charming are practicing in 302.

    Dear @InStyle & #InStyleSMAs 2013. Is it possible to nominate the EvilQueen from #OnceUponATime for #BestNecklace? 😉 pic.twitter.com/CQqtcdRghc

In The Evil Queen, when Snow mentioned hunting, Regina was all, “But you don’t know how to do that. You were a Princess.” So I’m guessing Leo never arranged lessons for fighting or hunting or anything like that for Snow, otherwise Regina wouldn’t have made the comment.

Regina’s gonna take someone’s heart while in NL?!

Keeping in mind that this pic could have potentially been taken at any point since they started filming…I’m gonna guess it’s Greg’s. “You took away my heart (Henry), so I’m going to return the favour.” *yoink* *squish*

I think it’s Greg’s heart too. I think PP will kill Tamara at some point, maybe to prove a point to Henry either 1) Don’t mess with me, I’m super dangerous OR 2) you can trust me.Look I killed your kidnappers

What if it’s the “Heart of the Truest Believer” (i.e. Tamara’s, Greg’s or Henry’s)?! If PP takes Henry’s heart (without crushing it) then maybe Regina would reclaim it to put back in Henry?
