I’ve never expected Eric to be in NL, reckon he’s either in SB or dead. If JoAnna’s been shooting present day stuff, then she’s not hanging out with Eric in NL, and if Eric was in NL, she’d be hanging out with him. If she’s been shooting flashback stuff, it’s parts of her story that don’t feature Eric. Maybe we’ll get other bits and pieces of her story and then a money shot of Eric in the final flashback of the ep? If it takes 8-ish days to shoot an ep, and they started on Monday, today is the half way point, and Gil’s not there yet, so I’m guessing he’s maybe only scheduled for a day or two of shooting for this ep.

From our very own PoM. Sounds like 6 episodes in, Felix is still alive.

I think Eric will feature more strongly in later episodes to come since his casting call said he was a reoccurring character. I strongly believe Eric is alive in the present-day but separated from Ariel; originally Adam and Eddy wanted to kill off PC but ABC bawked at this idea because that would’ve meant Snow White had no chance at her HEA and the same goes for Ariel. The network won’t stand for killing off Ariel’s main squeeze.
2) I think Felix and PP will live past S3. They’ve both survived in positions of authority for centuries which means they’re both skilled and adept at survival.

The original TLM story is so totally different that A and E can point to the original source material and say, “it’s very different from what you’re used to.” Also, the fact that they wanted to kill off PC indicates that they are willing to take the risk in defying our Disney expectations.
Felix I’m up in the air about, but PP will live I believe. I think once the never-aging magic as been restored and NL is “happy” again, PP will be the childhood story we all know.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"September 12, 2013 at 12:16 pm #209367PheeParticipantI reckon PP has his own “undoing” coming, so he’ll live. Felix is a different type of being though, just a regular guy who became the darkest and most ruthless Lost One, so he can’t be magically reformed the way PP probably can be. He’d stay dark and dangerous, so I’m not optimistic that he’ll survive if NL becomes a safer, more cheery place. He’s like the GOAT of NL, and if GOAT are likely to die, I reckon Felix is too.

Yep, all of that. They’ve got a bit more clout with the powers that be now that they’re a couple seasons in to making a successful show. Killing off a fairytale Prince in the pilot before your show is even established is a big risk. Killing one off now that people have seen how they twist fairytales and so many people love their style…not so much of a risk as it was before.

That’s held up despite Rumple having a son, a first wife (that he killed) and all that. So I am inclined to think that they can mess with Ariel and Eric. I also think if they don’t, it will be boring like CinderThomas and Aurora and Phil. You want to be in serious doubt about how it is going to turn out in order to make audiences feel invested in the story.
