ParticipantWhat if their connection is child services?
Emma, August & Owen could have possibly been in the same place until Owen’s Uncle was reached.
Bae most like encountered child services in NJ were he ended up maybe Greg/Owen had a stop their as well. If Tamara is someone also from neverland was she there?
August ran away with other kids from Maine maybe NJ was a stop for him as well. Owen/Greg may have been in that group. (ran away because no one believed him?)[adrotate group="5"]https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/52/cb/c6/52cbc6149415054d0d0aba04c3536bae.jpg

ParticipantNot convinced that Tamara is Her, mostly because I’ve got the impression from Greg’s phonecalls that Her is trying to tell him to come home to PA, but we know that Tamara has a life established in NYC. Does not compute.
I’ve had to give up on the theory that Greg was the Wizard of Oz, but haven’t yet ruled out Her being Dorothy.
There were a couple of little things in Welcome To Storybrooke that could have been nods to Oz – the line about the town being dropped on top of them, like Dorothy’s house dropped on the Witch, and Kurt telling Owen to go to his uncle, so that’s likely who he ended up living with, and Dorothy was a kid who lived with her aunt and uncle. And I still don’t necessarily believe that when Jane Espenson randomly tweeted a revelation about Dorothy not too long ago that it was truly random, even though she claimed it was when someone asked.
Even without Greg being the Wizard, knowing his actual story now, I still think a character like Dorothy would be a good match for him. Someone who would understand his need to find this mysterious land, and may not want him to stay there, knowing herself the trouble one can get into in a place like that, but wouldn’t automatically dump him for being a crazy person when he goes on about all this invisible, magical city stuff.

That’s a really good point you raise. My only rejoinder (and it’s a stretch, admittedly) is that some people move around and have out-of-state cell phone numbers. Tamara could be from PA, so her area code is still a PA number, but she’s currently living in NYC. Also, there is technology which allows the user to change her cell phone number to a different caller ID.

I still like this possibility. I want Greg to be a “good guy” since Owen was obviously a wounded child. For a while, I thought he might be allied with someone sinister like the Wicked Witch of Oz, but I really hope for Owen’s sake, that he found a lovely wife like Dorothy.

Yeah, I want Owen to find his Happily Ever After, too. Dorothy would totally sympathize with his plight, she was an orphan who had “crazy” adventures in Oz. Owen and Dorothy would be really cute together, too.

True enough about the numbers, but I still get the impression that Her is actually in PA, where Greg came from, and is someone he’s very close to. The way he talks to Her isn’t like he’s talking to a sometimes long distance girlfriend who could potentially be leading a double life with him and also with Nealfire in NYC. I imagine that Her is back in PA with the kids and she wants Greg to get out of SB and come home to them before he gets himself into trouble.
Greg: Honey? I… I… I know. Just wait. Wait. Just listen. Just listen. Okay? Yes, I’m okay. I… I was in an accident. And, honey… You’re not going to believe what I saw.
Greg: Hey. N-no, I… I’m… I-I’m okay. Yeah. No, they… They… They said I’m… I’m good to go. But, um… You know, I think I’m going to stay here for little while. Why? Well, take a look at this and see.
Maybe my impression of Her and Greg is way off, that’s just how I’ve imagined their relationship, judging by his sides of their conversations. I imagine that she’s fast talking (which is why he has to stammer before he can get a word in) and sounding worried on the other end of the line because she wants him back home with her. That doesn’t really make sense if he’s talking to someone who regularly spends a fair amount of time in a whole different state to him, (which Tamara would have to do if she’s spent enough time with Nealfire to get him to propose).

ParticipantHer is most likely his Shrink. He has probably had to seek help for 28 years with everybody trying to tell him what he saw wasn’t true.
He mostl likely missed an appointment or was supposed to check in but failed to do so. And I sow gathering proof to convince the world he is not crazyMarch 21, 2013 at 3:04 pm #181316laurieanne
ParticipantHe calls his shrink “Honey?”

KeymasterI doubt it’s his shrink given that he calls her honey. There are certain lines shrinks/patients are not allowed to cross.

Exactly, Phee. Unless Tamara can transport quickly between NY and PA (highly doubtful 🙄 🙄 ) she cannot be HER.
I’m guessing HER is either a wife, girlfriend or daughter.
And Tamara is completely normal.
As a video editor, you can make anything look more dramatic than it really is. I’m calling it now they’re totally misleading us.

Tamara wouldn’t have to transport quickly between PA and NYC for her area code to remain unchanged. She could have a portable cell phone with a PA area code which she still uses in NY. So even though she was calling from NY, the cell phone area code would still appear like a PA area code. When I moved states, I didn’t bother to change my old cell phone number, so my area code was the same as my old address, rather than my new address. I’m not saying this is or has to be the case for Tamara or HER. But we can’t rule out the possibility of the two being the same woman just because of different area codes.

Maybe, but maybe not. The latest post on OUAT’s official FB page makes Tamara seem pretty suspicious.

ParticipantI still say it’s a red herring.
