Yes, I definitely noticed the cleaners and hatters sign, and all the while I was thinking, “how can this be connected to Bae, how can it be connected?” But alas, nothing. π
I know this man being Bae is still a popular theory, but something inside me says he’s someone else. Didn’t Lana even state that this character was connected to her? She could have said Emma or Henry, but she specifically stated that the man was tied to her. Kind of another tip-off that he’s not Bae.
Bah! I want to know already! π

Tvline.com sat down and freezframed that little clip to come up with as many clues as possible to who he is. Take a look at number 8. It almost seems to guarantee that he’s Bae. And surely, i’m not the only one to think his collection of clocks looks a tad familiar.

Per your request, I re-watched 1×19 with subtitles from my DVD today. Unfortunately, there weren’t any subtitles for that conversation between Mother Superior and August. The subtitle simply said “indistinct” instead of what was being said. π I tried really hard to listen with head-phones, but I couldn’t make out anything much better than you already did. I think August might have said. “I understand, but that’s the whole point. I can’t do anything about it with my body like this.” I think Mother Superior may have been persuading August to stick with the plan of getting Emma to believe, but he was so anxious from turning into wood, that he wanted to get Mr. Gold’s knife and use the magic asap.
Also, I never noticed the sign in front of the convent until now. I think it reads “Sisters of Saint Melissa.” As far as I know, there is no such saint in Catholicism, although there may have been a Melissa, queen of Serbia, who may have been canonized in the Eastern Orthodox Church. Anyway, I looked up the name Melissa though, and it does have a connection to Greek mythology, as she was a nymph who cared for the infant Zeus: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melissa
I’m not sure what the official religion in FTL was, but it did seem to be polytheistic, as indicated by Baeflire in 1×19 when he said, “Gods no!” and by Maurice in 1×12 and by Granny in 1×16.
Thanks for looking π
Interesting info – I never really saw the sign either lol πOctober 3, 2012 at 7:02 am #155239surayyaParticipantWell we meet Henry's Dad in Ep 6 – it's just been confirmed by K&H!!! So we shall at least know if he’s Henry’s dad or not π

I’m so glad, too! It’s so nice to find out early on. π

#Oncers Tonights episode is going to be EPIC. Don’t want to miss this one. Trust me #OnceUponATime
He’s hyped the show, but never like this, so I wonder if it’s because ABC made a big deal about Hook being on the show and he’s excited too. Or if it’s because it deals with his character’s back story too. I mean it is pretty epic if this is where we found out that his mom ran off with Captain Hook, then his dad killed his mom later on by ripping her heart out, and that his character may have traveled to Neverland since Hook’s magic bean takes him there.
Just thought I’d put it out there.
October 22, 2012 at 7:21 am #157543TheGoldenKeyParticipantI’m so tired I voted wrong π Hit Peter Pan and only then saw Bae and the combo button. Please cancel the single Peter Pan vote and add it to combo of Bae/Peter Pan. Thank you π

October 22, 2012 at 12:38 pm #157564faux paxParticipantI’ll admit, this epp gave credence to the idea that Bae is Peter. I really hope he isn’t. First off, I think I would feel cheated if he got sent to a world WITH magic. Second, Bae and Peter have vastly different personalities. Bae is kind and rather unselfish; Peter….well, not so much. Third; I don’t want the reunion between Rumple and Bae to happen when he’s a kid. For the drama to play out best, he has to have had a lot of time to let his hurt stew. And because people don’t age in Neverland, i’m thinking time doesn’t really pass the same either. If Bae was Peter he would never have grown up, never matured, and never really let that anger come to a boil.
October 22, 2012 at 12:53 pm #157568TheGoldenKeyParticipantMaybe Faux Pax. But we do know that the longer one remains in Neverland the more one tends to forget about their other life. Plus, Bae aka Peter, could have easily come to the real world, just as he did in the movie Hook, sometime after Emma & Pino arrived and aged. So many possibilities π
