I’ll admit, this epp gave credence to the idea that Bae is Peter. I really hope he isn’t. First off, I think I would feel cheated if he got sent to a world WITH magic. Second, Bae and Peter have vastly different personalities. Bae is kind and rather unselfish; Peter….well, not so much. Third; I don’t want the reunion between Rumple and Bae to happen when he’s a kid. For the drama to play out best, he has to have had a lot of time to let his hurt stew. And because people don’t age in Neverland, i’m thinking time doesn’t really pass the same either.
Yes, they definitely hinted that Bae could have went to Neverland with his magic bean in this episode. I’m not sure if those are clues or just misdirection. It makes sense for Peter and Hook to hate each other if Bae turns out to be Peter because Bae might blame Hook for Milah abandoning him, and Hook might hate Bae because Bae reminds him of the man who murdered Milah. However, I think they’re going to save the Bae finds out who killed Milah bombshell for later on this season, and while that doesn’t necessarily rule out Bae being Peter, I’m not sure why Hook wouldn’t have just taunted Bae about who murdered his mom in Neverland.
I agree though that I don’t like the Bae is Peter theory for the same reasons. Unfortunately, I could actually see them changing it about where he went since it seems to be a pattern on the show that if the Blue Fairy says something to a character, it actually means the opposite. However, I don’t think that Bae has ever seemed like Peter on the show so far whereas with Dr. Whale and August, there were personality hints about who they really were. Bae and Peter just seem like total opposites at least in how Peter is usually portrayed. I guess his personality could change, but what we’ve seen of poor Bae, especially if Mysterious Man is Bae, he’s never seemed carefree and immature like a Peter Pan type of character. I could be totally wrong about episode six, but even when he’s out there being a thief of some kind, it seems like he’s still trying to act responsible by either marry Emma and/or save her from the life of crime that he’s got involved with neither of which sound very Peter Pan like to me.
If Bae was Peter he would never have grown up, never matured, and never really let that anger come to a boil.
Not really connected to the Peter Pan theory, but I still seen people after this past episode hope that Bae is still the same age as when he left when they reunite so that Rumple get a family with Belle and Bae. I just cannot see that at all after last night’s episode because I think revealing what Rumple did to a young Bae would just be wrong not that I want to see older Bae learn the truth, but I know it’s going to happen eventually and an older Bae could handle it better, at least as well as one can, after finding out something like that.

I love this point. It’s not something i’ve really considered before, but you’re right; with all the drama that is bound to unfold, it would be cruel to have Bae be a kid, still fresh from his father’s abandonment.
I have always rooted for the grown-up Bae theory for a couple reasons. I’m a big SwanFire fan and want him to be Henry’s dad. And I think that having him be a little kid would make it too easy for Rumple. A lot of people want him to have his happy ending, and i agree, but the show wouldn’t be good if he didn’t have to earn it.
Besides, am I the only one looking forward to maybe some sort of Bromance between Hook and Bae? I mean he was kind of his step-dad, and I’m sure Hook would care for him at least somewhat, given how much he meant to Milla.

I totally agree that I think it’s too easy for Rumple if Bae is still a little kid. He really needs to earn his happy ending especially after last night’s episode.

I brought this up in a chat room last night, but I don’t think anyone liked the theory. I guess it go either way either Hook spares Bae because Bae is Milah’s son, or he goes after Bae because Bae is Rumple’s son too.
I prefer the former because I think it would open up more possibilities for Hook later on. If they do plan on keeping him for next season and beyond, then I’m not sure they’ll keep him a villain or antagonist still, so I think it would be interesting to see him and Bae allied against Rumple for what Rumple did to Milah, and that eventually they become friends. Of course, I want Bae to forgive his father someday, but I think it would make it even more painful for Rumple to have to see the guy that his wife left him for bond with his son. While I still love Rumple, I will be so disappointed if they make his reconciliation with Bae too easy especially now.
Then again, there’s another new theory I read last night that will probably never happen, but I sort of wish it did only for poor Bae’s sake, and that’s this new theory that perhaps Bae is not only not Rumple’s son, but he’s not Milah’s son either. She found him when Rumple was in the Ogre Wars, kept him, grew attached, but not too attached, which is why she was able to leave him behind so easily. Yes, never going to happen, but for Bae’s sake, I sort of want it to be revealed that his real parents were nice and normal and didn’t really abandon him, maybe even royalty that way he won’t feel beneath Emma, since she’s a Princess. Seriously, show they must really want us to love Bae, not that I didn’t already, but I think he definitely wins the suckiest back story of any character on the show.

Whether or not Bae and Rumple share blood, it WOULDN’T MATTER to Rumple at all, but i think if it turns out that he’s not, then i think it would cheapen everything Rumple has done for him in the eyes of some of the audience. I can see the post now…”So sad, after all Rumple had done to get to Bae and get him to forgive him, he’s not really his son. what a waste of Rumple’s time…”

No, I know Bae’s going to turn out to be Rumple’s son. I just thought it was funny that theories were already popping up like that about Milah too, and to be honest I can see why it’s an appealing theory for Bae lovers because he’s already been through much, and we don’t even know what happened to him yet.
