Oh my goodness i do not want Henry and Bae to bond without Emma there. That sounds awful.
[adrotate group="5"]September 11, 2012 at 1:01 am #153778zlfh4ParticipantI have to wonder if this is the case and Michael Raymond James is Bae, a very big if, then what if the vortex we are assuming takes snow and emma to a different realm or whatever brings bae to storybrooke. The primary reason for the curse was for Rumple to find Bae, and when he had Charming put the true love potion in Maleficent he did it for a reason. What if he knew that once the curse was broken he would need it to bring Bae to storybrooke. After all the well was supposed to bring back what once was lost and he manipulated Emma to get the potion back all of this before he knew about what Regina had done to Belle…

September 11, 2012 at 3:07 am #153786hjbauParticipantHe could. He could always pop out in our world the same age.

Really? I don’t like Emma being gone, but I think that it would be easier for them to be able to bond if she’s not around. Plus, if he’s Bae and knows all about the dangers of magic, it would be nice to have someone else to watch over Henry to protect him from Regina since Charming may be occupied with his new Sheriff position at times.

I agree that he could, but there are some fans like myself who think Rumple would be having his cake and eating it too since he would not only have Belle, but he would also have Bae turn up with very little or no time lost from when he left FTL. Plus, I don’t think it would create that much drama if Bae arrived in Storybrooke shortly after Rumple let him go into the green vortex. Obviously, he’d be angry, and be upset at what Rumple did, but I don’t think it would be the same kind of anger and bitterness that an adult Bae will have. Finally, there’s already one young male lead on the show, so I think it would be overkill to have two young male leads.
I guess he could turn up to be any age, but based on the theory of him being Henry’s father, the fact that Rumple was so eager to believe that August was Bae, and the casting call for Jack all make me think that Bae will be right around Emma’s and August’s age.
September 11, 2012 at 4:28 am #153792hjbauParticipantI do think that it makes sense for Bae to come to town while Emma is gone, but for them to bond. Maybe we are defining bond in a different way, but somehow that would make me crazy. I mean maybe be friendly towards one another is fine. Also i think if Bae is the father, i don’t want him to know about Henry and i don’t want him to know that Henry’s mother, Emma is the girl he hooked up with ten years ago well eleven now and know that this is his son.
Like i want the moment that Bae sees Emma and then realizes that he knows this Emma and that means Henry is his to be a surprise for Bae and Emma both.
Though that is probably a lot of wishful thinking from writers who just had Regina vomit out that she knew the entire season that Emma was the savior as if that was not information they should have mentioned yesterday. She just had her say it like it was assumed and irrelevant that she knew, in Ep 21 after the whole season. Epic fail.

I could so see Henry sitting at the bar at granny’s with a slice of pumpkin pie and hot coco when Bae comes in and sits down next to him and order pie. They make a bit of small talk, then Emma and MM come in and she sees them. Emma gets confrentaional and asks what he’s doing in town. He says it’s family busniss. She assumes he’s somehow talking about Henry but he is talking about Rumple. He leaves. MM asks how they know eachother. Emma, knowing Henry’s in the room, says is that he’s no hero and MM understands. Herny knows he’s missing something and gets courious, which of course can lead to some trobble latter on.
I know it wouldn’t happen that way, but my mind has been in overdrive over the last few days. lol. 😀
September 28, 2012 at 12:17 am #154607hjbauParticipantI so understand, my mind has been on overdrive too. I think i am going to stop reading spoilers until the first ep comes.
And yeah i wouldn’t mind Henry speaking to the father, but bonding suggests like a connection that i wouldn’t like too much.
September 28, 2012 at 1:10 am #154608faux paxParticipantNot so much bonding, but i would like to have them meet and be on good terms with each other (kind of like Henry and August when they were working togher on Cobra). I think for that to happen, given the few tid-bits we KNOW about Henry’s dady, it would have to be when Emma’s not around…at least at first.
That does seem possible though, given that MR-J is billed to be in the first eppisode and it looks like Emma and Snow are going to be MIA for a while in the first few epps
I want to see interact with a few storybrook people before the rest of the Charmings know the big secret, because if Charming starts acting like he doesn’t like him (which is almost inevitable when he finds out the back story–whatever it is) the other characters will pick up on that attitude. Charming was their king and well respected. Even if they don’t react the same way as Charming, they will at least wonder why he’s acting that way, which could make things interesting (but i’m not sure if it would be a good way or not).

Yes, I want them to be on good terms with each other not so much have a father-son relationship yet.
I’m not really sure what’s going on with MR-J besides it being a safe bet that he’s Henry’s father/Bae. I only know for sure that he’s in the opening scene based of the first episode based on spoilers out there including a recent tweet from Matt Mitovich to Michael Raymond-James about his cool introduction to Once Upon a Time.
After that, I’m not sure what’s going on because it doesn’t seem like he’ll be in episodes 2 and 3 since he’s not listed for those episodes. He also tweeted today that it will take time for viewers to learn his identity, but again for posters like us who follow spoilers, we’ll already know who he is.
Anyhow, even if he appears again in episode 4, I’m unsure as to where now since all the people that have seen the first episode are being cryptic about where the first scene takes place. They only say that it’s very surprising, and Lou Reed’s Charley’s Girl may or may not be a hint.
Also, I thought that Emma met up with him again in episode 6; although perhaps, this was wrong on my part. However, if they do meet up in episode 6 then it can’t be in Storybrooke because only Josh Dallas, Jared Gilmore, and Megan Ory have been spotted on set for episode 7.
Or they could possibly meet up again which means that Emma and Snow somehow landed back on Earth but not in Storybrooke. Maybe he lives in Portland, Maine now which is why the police car was spotted. Or do they possibly meet up wherever the Giant is. All this speculation is making my brain hurt.
Now, I see this interview and this quote from Lana Parilla which makes my brain hurt even more.
I have not worked with any of the new cast. There’s one character that will be revealed.
The press hasn’t heard about him?
No — his fairytale identity will be revealed … that person I’ve been linked to, which is really interesting. Mystery, mystery man.So she hasn’t worked with Michael Raymond-James’s character yet, but is she talking about him being the mysterious man that she’s linked to or perhaps Dr. Whale’s mystery identity or Daniel’s ghost? I’m guessing it’s MR-J though because his character is referred to as the “Mysterious Man”, and we still don’t know his fairytale identity. He could be Jack or he could be Peter Pan or just Bae.
They’re going to be linked then? Is it because of Henry? Is there going to be another connection? 😯
