After six seasons of rooting for this crack theory…Shady Blue will finally become a reality for all of us! This is what we’re waiting for!!

How have we still not seen the Black/Dark Fairy that was banished at some point?  Have they completely forgotten about all of that or did I miss something in the show?

Dark Hook said something back in “Broken Heart” that ties in with the theory here about the villain being Emma’s non-savior self:

Hook: Well, you see, that’s your problem, Swan. You’re so afraid of losing the people that you love that you push them away. And that’s why you’ll always be an orphan. You don’t need some villain swooping in to destroy your happiness. You do that quite well all on your own.

Now while this was a terrible thing to say to her, there could still be some harsh truthness to it. Emma’s own villain could very well be herself.

Yes, exactly. Emma has always been her own worst enemy. It’s not about her “dark” vs “light” self but rather the Savior vs Non-Savior Emma. To be fair, I’m not thrilled about the idea of Savior Emma killing off Non-Savior Emma because that’s basically the same as Regina killing the EQ–it doesn’t work that way because Regina will always be the EQ but it’s about temperament and restraint. For Emma, she’ll always have that “orphan” part of her, but it’s about accepting herself and those who love her and her place among them.

Precisely why I am not rooting for this.

But I’m going to stick with it being Rumple.

What if Rumpel uses the serum to split himself into Dark One Rumpel and Mr. Gold? And it’s Dark One Rumpel under that hood?

Plus, it can explain Bobby’s haircut.

I think this might be so, but its such a rehash of last season during the dark swan arc. Plus the figure is s bit too tall to be Rump. But I think this is a good highly probable guess.

I think it would be even more of a rehash of last season than the Emma split, because the core of the Emma split idea is not based on Dark One – non-Dark One. It’s whatever she is when she’s not the savior.

On the other hand, presumably if Rumple splits himself in half and that actually extracts all of his DO powers into one entity, there is no reason for that entity to even look like Rumple/Gold. It’s a mashup of DOs at this point, so there should be a bit of Nimue, a bit of Zoso, a bit of Gorgon the Terrible, a bit of Rumple and so forth.

On the other, other hand — Rumplestiltskin’s original tale says that at some point he got so angry that he, literally, tore himself in half. So I think that plot line with the serum is still in the running, I just don’t know that it would intersect with the Emma one.

Yeah, but Lana’s even shorter than Bobby, and Regina and/or the EQ is a popular theory.

I didn’t even think about this!

Here’s the thing: who made Emma the Savior? Rumpel.

Lana could wear heels which would boost her height.

    So could Rumpel.

    He has before.
