I thought her father might be Leo because I remember in one spoiler it stated something about incest and how it affects two people ie. Regina and Snow, which might also be the ”global” thing mentioned in another spoiler. Rumple is not the father, I highly doubt that he is.
I know people think it is the Wizard because she wanted to be like Regina but we are forgetting some things. Firstly Zelena talks of her life being a misery in Oz, this makes me automatically think that the Wizard is the reason for this, if so would she love someone who caused her pain and misery. Secondly to enact the curse you have to use the heart of the thing you love the most which might be her father’s, however as Pan showed us with Felix that can also be loyalty. Why could she have not used the heart of her most loyal monkey. Thirdly which sounds a bit crazy but I’m going ahead with it, What if she never had to use a heart. Oz is a completely different realm and even though there are set laws to magic why can there not be some laws that are alterable depending on where you are. If this is the case, could she not have used Regina’s blood to enact the curse since that is who her anger and revenge are aimed at.
Regardless I’m sticking with Leo being the father until we find out otherwise.

Leo is just such a big problem for me because of the ick factor. And it seems an almost unnecessary way to bond Snow and Regina.

I wouldn’t put it passed Cora to think of something so dastardly especially if we believe Zelena that she was abandoned by Cora. To Cora she wanted what was best for Regina and at that time maybe marrying her to Leo was the right solution to her.
March 17, 2014 at 6:52 pm #253716JosephineParticipantI have a crack theory about Zelena’s parentage. Wanna hear it? 😛 We’ll you’re going to anyway….
Young peasant Cora catches the eye of Leopold and is set up as his mistress. She has a cushy life now that she’s not breaking her back at the mill. Leo isn’t willing to marry her, but she’s happy with the improvement in life. But (dun dun dunnnn) Leo meets Eva and falls instantly in love. He can’t pursue anything with her until he drops Cora, so he goes and gives Cora her walking papers. She’s forced to go back to her horrible life at the mill, but this time she has a babe in her belly. Leo, now unencumbered, is free to court Eva. Flash forward to Regina, post baby, delivering flour and Eva tripping her. Eva knows what went on and is gloating about her beau’s (they weren’t married yet) former mistress reduced in circumstances.Flash forward years later and Cora exacts her revenge on Eva by having her killed. Then in a wicked twist of fate, she gets back at her former lover by manipulating events to make her daughter the new queen. Taking over the role that Eva previously held. Knowing Leo would know who she was, Cora slips him a forgetting potion (ala the one Regina used to forget) and the marriage goes forward.
And everyone is almost incestuously related. The End.
Told you it was crack. But it’d make a great fanfiction. 👿

I agree!!!!
King George is the father Cora made his wife not to have kids.

What if the reason George wanted Charming/James is they were somewhat related to him to carry on the family lineage? Like, his half-brother’s kids or something?

My head is now exploding.

She tells Regina that they are sisters; a) to keep Rumples status as ‘alive’ a secret, and b) because she knows that Cora is dead (from the name on the crypt) and therefore can’t verify/deny anything.

They have confirmed many times that Rumple isn’t Regina’s father. They chose a Latino actor in Henry Sr for that reason–Lana’s own Latina heritage. And Cora said, “no child of mine will ever be yours”
Regina is most definitely not his.

But you mentioning Cora’s quote gave me an idea; Nobody breaks a deal with RS and gets away with it, so after Cora broke her deal perhaps the penalty was that the baby would be cursed with green skin, ensuring everybody would know something magical had gone on in Queen Cora’s past, and ensuring she couldn’t live the life she wanted as a royal without giving up her extremely green baby. Or maybe Cora didn’t disown Z, just sent her to Oz for her own safety to get her away from RS who, upon finding her years later, preceded to fill her head with lies about how her mother had ‘cast her out’.
Z says Cora had her before she became a royal, but perhaps her information (coming from RS) was wrong, perhaps she and Regina are full sisters. Or maybe RS was willing to sacrifice one of his children (Z) in order to find the other (BF), and tried to train Z to enact the curse…?
