Oh I like that. Although I always equated Rumple to Palpatine because he is the #1 baddy or was. Plus he can foresee things. (Palpatine reference). But I don’t know if Adam and Eddie know about the Star Wars force unleashed games. I’m sure the may have heard them but sometimes people who are star wars fan are just fans of the original movies and not the Expanded Universe which by the way is awesome! Well the good ones.

May 30, 2013 at 9:25 pm #196641HappyEndingsSpectatorSeason 3 of āOnce Upon A Timeā looks tobe very Neverland- and Peter Pan-based, given that a band of characters just set out for that magical land in the finale of season 2. Matt Carter reported on May 16 that executive producer Adam Horowitz has very definite thoughts about just who will play the pivotal role of Peter Pan.
āI can confirm that it will be a male playing the part ā¦ [Outside of that], anything to do with that casting we donāt want to talk about, because that would be a big spoiler. Our approach to Peter Pan is one weāre super-excited about. Since Season 1, the Peter Pan mythology was something we wanted to do, but we couldnāt because of the rights issues. Once they were dealt with, we were able to finally go to town and open that world up. We started with Captain Hook, and we knew we wanted to build to what weāre about to do in Season 3.ā
Given the way Neverland, The Shadow and the Lost Boys have been introduced thus far, it is a safe bet that whoever plays Peter Pan will be radically different from the Peter Pans we are accustomed to. Hook even seemed terrified of him and Hook isnāt one to frighten easily.
It is not likely that weāve met the Pan already since he seems to live in Neverland and doesnāt appear to have left. Given Horowitzās description, it will be someone unexpected and worthy of the mantle as it seems Pan is going to be a villain.

Why would it matter who we know is playing PP ā
May 30, 2013 at 9:30 pm #196643HappyEndingsSpectatorCasting is everything and the producers at āOnce Upon A Timeā have a real job in front of them choosing the right person to play Peter Pan. From the way the story has gone so far, it doesnāt seem as if this Pan will have the boyish charm of the Disney character or Robin Williams. Nay, it seems Peter may be a bit of a dark one himself, given that heās sent his lost boys to find Henry and the intimation there is that Pan wants him dead. I am excited to see who they cast in the role. Who do you think it will be?

I didn’t think he wanted to kill Henry š
May 30, 2013 at 9:34 pm #196644RumplesGirlKeymasterOh I do. I think he wants to take Henry’s shadow and use it for something.
I’m interested in this line:
Peter may be a bit of a dark one himself
Deliberate?

So they’re just confirming they’re not pulling a Jack/Jacqueline thing and that Peter will be a boy (much easier to do for screen versions than long theater runs).
The way they’ve worded things is tricky. It sounds like the details they need to use for casting purposes would give too much away, how vague & difficult that must be for potential actors! o.O I wonder if it’s because of something like with the Regina family tree drama from before?
If you recall, there were theories that Rumple was her father not Henry Sr. etc but when you look at it, one is Scottish and the other is Latino, like Regina – they’re very specific on some casting stuff, even if it’s not immediately obvious.
Most of the casting calls we’ve had access to will say things like British accent or of ____ descent or what their personality will be like or SOMETHING that clues us in to what they’re thinking for casting purposes. If they want Peter related to anybody for instance, they can’t very well go out saying we’re looking for someone who looks exactly like a younger version of _____ without giving away the whole thing. Likewise, since Peter is so mysterious as the moment (and seemingly sinister but we haven’t gotten to actually see him yet to know anything 100%), even personality traits could be a dead giveaway.
They’re giving us less to speculate on which in turn gives us MORE to speculate on! We know Peter is important and for some reason wants Henry but now he’s so important that a simple casting call would give too much information? We know the character is coming yet it’s hidden because it would be a “big spoiler.”
As for any specific lines in there that aren’t specifically from the writers, I’m inclined to think they have a “reason” for using that wording, but at the same time some things are taken different ways by different people and it could always just be their opinion based on what they’ve seen already and their theory is that it somehow relates to being a dark one because of the lost ones angle (not saying they’re wrong though, it does seem like we will be getting a very different version of Peter and Rumple knows something).
Is it S3 yet??

May 30, 2013 at 9:44 pm #196646RumplesGirlKeymasterI also think they want to keep that spoiler, which is a pretty big one, under wraps for as long as possible. Let the fans speculate about who is playing PP. What’s interesting is that they didn’t have someone in mind, or at least that’s how I read it. With Jefferson and Nealfire they approached both Seb and MRJ specifically to play those parts
