Regina went through the wedding with Leopold, why?
[adrotate group="5"]October 30, 2012 at 7:10 pm #158670lilredParticipantPower. Nothing better to do….I honestly don’t know why. 😯
Would like to know why/how she managed to leave her new duty as queen (and wife/step-mother) to go be schooled by Rumple in magic? I’m surprised Leopold was cool with that, especially since he married her to take care of Snow.
October 30, 2012 at 9:21 pm #158672PriceofMagicParticipantMaybe Regina didn’t push Cora through the mirror until after she married Leopold hence why she was still wearing the wedding dress.
I doubt Leopold knew what Regina was up to with Rumple or that she was even with Rumple. As for Regina finding the time to learn magic, perhaps she’d tell Leopold she was going out for a ride or something which would give her a couple of hours leave from the palace. She would then meet up with Rumple, who would use magic to whisk her away to wherever he was teaching her then he would drop her off back in her kingdom so that she could pretend she’s just returned from her ride.
All magic comes with a price!

With no where else to go, so probably figured she might as well marry King Leopold and learn magic from Rumpel on the side. It’s quite ironic, because she ended up fulfilling her mother’s wishes, despite having pushed Cora through the looking glass. She even turned into her mother. I’m actually looking forward to the mother-daughter reunion between Cora and Regina, especially now that Regina is struggling to give up magic. It seems like she’ll have to resort to magic though to keep Cora and her powers at bay. A recovering magic junkie should not be around a fellow magic junkie if she wishes to recover.

I think Regina probably married him out of a nowhere else to go mentality, or maybe Rumple asked her too?
It was Cora who said she couldn’t leave without the King, Leopold was never seen making such a demand.

Also, she was the Queen, so I reckon she could pretty much do whatever she wanted.

Doubt he was even concerned with her being there to keep him warm at night. From ep11:
I am not a fool – I realize that the Queen is unhappy and yearns for someone to love her in a way that I never can. And yet, I never imagined that she would betray me like this.
I’m thinking they had separate bedrooms from day one, so she could easily sneak out of the castle for nightly magic lessons with Rumple, and Leopold wouldn’t have a clue.

Only on this show would that sentence make total sense. 😆

Riding every day though? 😆

Hmm, I hadn’t thought about Regina possibly being forced to use magic on Cora. So much for winning Henry back.

We are shown that Regina had a love of horses and riding. She thought the “thing she loved most” was her prized childhood steed, after all. So it wouldn’t be a stretch to say she tended to go for long rides everyday. And the king, wanting to keep her happy so that she would take care of Snow White, would allow it. He’s a nice guy, too, so he probably feels as though she should be more than allowed to have her free time.
