WHY are there NO summer re-runs ???

Summer re runs are an opportunity to build viewer ship… people who missed or did not see the first showing get a chance to see the show and hook new viewers. Has anyone heard of re runs being shown?

Summer re-runs would help with the OUAT withdrawal. All I have are the episodes on my DVR and the episodes on hulu.

I too think it would be smart for ABC to show OUaT reruns. Maybe they will later in the summer (I hope!).

I don’t think that the regular channels do reruns anymore during the off season. They seem to have shows that fill in that time or they use the time to try and jump different shows. I wish they did reruns as well though if i really want to watch an episode i just can, but still.

I asked ABC about this just a couple days ago. They said there are no plans for reruns. So the only ways to rewatch Once Upon a Time is through Hulu Plus, iTunes, or Amazon Instant. We recommend Hulu Plus since this is only $8 per month, and we’ll encourage this for our official rewatch.

Problem with hulu / amazon etc is that it requires high speed internet … not all areas of the country have access. Some people can not or do not want to pay premium $$$$ for entertainment; they still like free broadcast TV. ($100 per month; $1200 would buy a lot of stuff like meds, heat and food.) I never have time to watch more than 6 hours of TV in a week.

My original thought was they are missing their chance to bring in new people to the show. DVD buyers will be fans who want to be able to watch the show and catch up with what they missed. How many DVDs will they sell to people who have never seen the show? Re runs help hook new viewers in who want to watch something they have not seen before.

It is a missed opportunity! And the DVD only comes out later in the fall –

I totally agree with you, Nonnie. For being the #1 new drama, they need to re-air season one before season two starts. All the fans would love it, too.

Yeah. There are so many people now who want to watch Once, but didn’t see it from the pilot and don’t have it on Netflix, so they don’t watch it. Especially since there are no really good TV shows, re-runs would get A LOT more new Once fans.
