In the meantime, back on Main Street, Regina was desperately trying to get rid of Archie, so she could go look for Henry.
“Regina, I know you are hurting having lost your mother. But you need to let that pain out, else it’ll fester inside of you.”
She wanted to rip him to shreds. “Listen up you little Maggot!….”
“Good Regina, let it out, let your anger flow, don’t bottle it up.” encouraged her.
The wormy slimey son of a …. She should turn him back into a cricket right now. “Shut up! I need to go and look for Henry!”
“But Emma is his mother now, you need to let go of him, so he can develop into a good strong man,”
“With the likes of Pinnocchio on his side certainly?”
“Oh, you have seen Pinnocchio. Where is he? Gephetto send me out looking for him.”
Typical, those two men were completely incapable of taking care of a child. “If you shut up you can come along, alright?””
“I’ll be as quiet as a church mouse. Though I once knew a church mouse that was not quiet at all. He had climbed up one of the pillars in the vestibule and then fell down, right on top of the bishop’s….” Archie went on and on and on. This was gonna be a long day, Regina thought.

I keep telling him the crops aren’t ready yet. Is he trying to get hourly reports now? Humans have no patience!”
“No, he didn’t send us. We’re just out for a walk.” Henry said.
“I wanted to see the bean fields.” Pinnochio replied.
“What’s that in your hands?” Tiny demanded.
Pinnochio held up the bag. “It’s just candy.”
“Magic Beans are sensitive crops. We can’t have you kids running around, crushing the roots, and….say, candy?” Tiny’s eyes widened.
“You want some?” Pinnochio opened the bag.
Tiny nodded. Humans had the best candy. He reached in and drew out a jelly bean. “This looks exactly like a magic bean.” He looked deep in thought for a moment. “You know, Charming is supposed to be working in the fields later today.”
Henry and Pinnochio grinned. “That’s what we thought too.”
“It’s April Fool’s Day.” Pinnochio explained.
“I heard something about that. Happy said something about a fool in love, and Grumpy visiting the Nuns, but I didn’t understand why the others kept laughing.” Tiny shrugged. “But this, makes sense.” He held up the large sparkly jelly bean. “I can’t wait to see Charming’s face when he finds one, and then I’m going to eat it. Let’s go.”
None of them noticed, as they went to plant the fake “magic beans” around the fields, that a small spikey ball had landed just behind them.

April 3, 2013 at 1:40 pm #184191spinninggoldParticipant“So what are we gonna do? Wait till the funny man comes back for his box?” David asked, slobbering up his soup.
“Well,” Rumpel said, holding his spoon still. “I don’t know what you are gonna do, but I am going to finish my soup and see if I can find and catch that Tapioca, before it harms someone.”
“Rumpel! I didn’t know you cared!” Charming cheered, hugging him.
Rumpel peeled himself loose. “Well, Belle played with the thing, what if it remembers her and goes after her?” He had meant it as a fib to hide his true intentions, but as he spoke the words he realised that this might well be the case. Grabbing his coat, he hurried outside, Charming again in tow.
“What are you doing?”Rumpel sighed.
“Coming with you of course. Think I need my sword?”
“It’s a floating ball, how do you think your sword can even hit the thing?”
“I’ll go get it!”April 3, 2013 at 7:36 pm #184257PriceofMagicParticipant“Then what?” asked Rumple sardonically. “You going to chase the ball down with your animal rescue van? That is such a David Nolan thing to do.”
Charming flinched at the insult. “That’s uncalled for.”

Keeper of FelixApril 3, 2013 at 10:18 pm #184301spinninggoldParticipantMeanwhile the doctor heard a cough behind his back. A lovely lady was standing there. “I’m sorry miss, who are you?”
“Mother Superior.”
The Doctor combed through his hair”Oh and that you are. By far superior to any Mother I have ever seen. Excuse me but you don’t really look like a nun.”
“And you don’t really look like a doctor.” she replied.
“How do you know my name?” the Doctor asked suspiciously,
“It’s a small town, news travels fast.”
“The puppy dog one told you, didn’t he? What was his name again… Flashing? Dashing? Prancing?”
“Charming” she smile
“Oh yes, as in Prince Charming.”
“One and the same.”
The cogs in the doctor’s brain started whiring. This was impossible! He loved the impossible. Especially when it came true.”I am beginning to get the strangest feeling about this place. You really are a fairy, aren’t you?”
April 3, 2013 at 10:28 pm #184305kfchimeraParticipant“The Blue Fairy,” she replied. “Though, that’s not the only name I’ve had. As you should know.”
“But I don’t,” the Doctor responded. “At least, not yet.”
She studied him for a moment. “You do look rather…different. Younger. And it has been centuries.”
“Perhaps I met you in my future then.”

Keeper of FelixApril 4, 2013 at 3:13 pm #184400spinninggoldParticipant“I will have you know that I have never forgotten a face.” the Doctor said insulted. “Certainly not one as pretty as yours. Anyways, TARDIS made a detour because a Toflacane has been spotted. Have you seen it by chance?”
“What is it?” the Blue Fairy liked to know.
“Well it’s a human head from the end of the universe, put into a robot, that is part of the hive mind.”
The Blue fairy looked confused. “Oh… I thought you once said the universe was endless.”
“In term of space it is, but in time…. Everything has it’s end.” the Doctor explained.
“Except for me.” the Blue fairy replied with a weary smile.
The Doctor readjusted his bow-tie. “That’s not possible in this reality.”
“I’m not from this reality.”
“Ah that explains why the TARDIS can’t find conformation of the existence of this place and why my screwdriver is giving ERROR messages.”This place was wonderfully weird he thought, like it came from the stories he had read as a kid, “You can tell me all about it later… Right now I have to find that ball, before someone accidentally gets hurt. Have you seen anything hovering round today?”
“No. I haven’t. I’ll ask the sisters to gather round and see if they have seen anything.”
“Thank you…Just out of curiosity, was the other me nice?”
“Very nice. It was the only time had doubts…” The Blue fairy could not continue.
“Doubts? About what?” the Doctor wanted to know though.
“My calling,” the Blue Fairy whispered softly
“Oh? …. Oh!” The Doctor smiled. “I’m good.”
In the meantime Rumpel hurried to the hospital, Charming in tow. “Put that sword away, what will Belle think? She still doesn’t remember anything.”
“We’ll tell her I’m practicing for a Rennaisance Fair.” Charming made up.
Rumpel was set dead in his tracks “Amazing.. You actually said something smart.”
April 4, 2013 at 4:00 pm #184413kfchimeraParticipant“Don’t sound so surprised. I AM married to a teacher,” Charming replied. “Oh wait, is that the time? I’m supposed to be at the bean fields. I’ll see you later!”
Rumpel grimaced as he watched Charming race off. “A brief flash of light, in the ocean of dimness, ” he commented to himself. He would just have to, as always, do things on his own.
