I am not sure why he wanted to go back to the way it was. He did say that though. Maybe he doesn’t want to fight with her yet. It may be that when Rumpel said Emma’s name that was when he remembered, but he may have always known because he did get Henry for Regina.
You mean when he said nothing would change between them? I assumed he meant that he was the one with the power and she was the one asking for favors. Basically letting her know that her little scheme only works as long as he lets it work. He wouldn’t want to go all the way back to Enchanted world because he was a prisoner.
That is not what i meant either. I think he was saying he has more power, but i also think he was saying he wants it to go back to when they pretended like they didn’t know.

When Rumple tells Regina to “remember how things used to be” I think he means in fairy tale land. He wants to remind Regina that he still has the upper hand and is still more powerful than her in storybrooke just as he was more powerful than her in fairy tale land.

It did seem a little weird, considering he had just blatantly used the power of “please” to command her to sit.
That was awesome 😆 I’m with doxcen with the reason why he doesn’t use “please” all the time with the Queen, is because the writer’s are keeping him from abusing it.
I think Rumpelstiltskin always knew. If he was going to make “a curse to end all curses” ofcourse he would have some sort of loophole, some sort of advantage. The please card is an example because its going to come in handy later on. You never break a deal with Rumpelstiltskin.
Its just Rumpelstiltskin’s style to not use please for eveything. Thats just too easy and will make him look like a coward. Rumpel knows when hes lost and when to give in. That was one of those moments. Rumpel has been alive for a long time, so he has power and experience; and Regina only has power.
