But it is the most logical response.
Well, no it’s not because Belle does love her baby and she does love Rumple, even if he’s not exactly a stand up guy in her eyes. Rumple’s duplicitous nature has nothing to do with her feelings toward their child.

But on a slightly lighter note: What if aborting the child would give Hades exactly what he wants? The child’s soul would become his, therefore entirely defeating the purpose of ending its life. Narratively speaking, this is the only way i could see them considering this possibility.
Anyway, I don’t want A&E to even consider going there. They have handled rape VERY poorly when they’ve brought the subject up, and at least 99% of the audience is anti-rape. They’ve also handled other slightly touchy subjects like LGBT representation very poorly, and given the strength of the Swan Queen vocal chords, they would not be offending that large a portion of the audience. Writing Belle having an abortion, or even THINKING about it, would not go well no matter what your stance.

It is only logical if (a) she doesn’t want the baby OR (b) having the baby always results in Hades taking it. From the in-story perspective, (a) does not appear to be the case and (b) is not inevitable. (Hades, as you recall, is this season’s antagonist. All things considered, we have no reason to believe that he will get his way in the end.) We also have no reason to believe that Hades actually intends to take this particular baby — beyond using it for leverage against Rumple.
Apart from the touchy subject of abortion more generally, having Belle terminate the pregnancy in anticipation of Hades succeeding goes against OUAT’s alleged message of hope (it seems a rather pessimistic jumping the gun, if you will). Nor would the show propose a “punitive” abortion — terminating the pregnancy to punish Rumple for his bad behavior is not something that jives with Belle’s character.
Edit: It boils down to what Belle wants. Period. We are lead to believe through the acting that she wants the baby. Parents can develop strong feelings of attachment to a fetus, even very early on in the pregnancy. And while there is certainly some cross-cultural variation, having to do with, say, family size, there is really good ethnographic and psychological evidence to suggest that people don’t think of their offspring as “fungible.” So the “she could just have a baby with a non-sociopath” is a reductive argument.

How is that a lighter note?Anyways, I seriously doubt Disney would allow Once to show one of the Disney Princesses having an abortion. Belle is not getting rid of the child because she clearly wants it. The smile on her face when Rumple told her she was pregnant says it all.
I do wonder if they will accelerate Belle’s pregnancy though, hand wave it as the effect of the underworld or something. Just had a thought!!!! What if the birth of RumBelle’s baby helps make the underworld better by allowing things to grow or whatever it was Hades was saying couldn’t happen. Kind of like new life and all. New life defeats death.

Im pretty sure Belle has full faith that they are going to defeat Hades. I don’t think she has to settle for not having a child just because she’s in a tight spot.
Emma didn’t get an abortion just because she was locked up.
Snow didn’t get an abortion just because Regina was after her child.
I don’t see how that’s a better option really. I know this is such a touchy topic for some but I think we have to take into account how BELLE feels, not what’s going on with the people around her.
Belle seems happy at the idea of being a mother.
If Belle wants her baby, then she will fight like hell to protect it until her last breath. If she wants her baby, aborting it or giving it to hades are both not options.
