Was wondering if any of you could answer this question:
Why is it still possible for Emma to turn dark?
Didn’t Snowing remove all *potential* for darkness and stick it in Lily? So that Emma would find it impossible to do a ”dark” deed?

A major premise of this half season makes no sense. We have this event where the darkness was stolen from Emma and put into Lily. So now we see how Lily is compulsively dark, she’s a liar, she’s bad news, because that’s how she was made when the darkness got put into her. The darkness that was taken out of Emma. Yet we still see Emma having the option to go dark or light. Yet Lily apparently doesn’t have that choice. Even though it was a singular even that made each of them the way they are. Like…WUT? And it’s a concept that’s at the centre of this current storyline, and IT DOES NOT COMPUTE AND IT BUGS ME. *HEADDESKING FOREVER*

Thank you!

In other words, they want to explore this idea of being a hero and being a villain, but they didn’t exactly think it all through. Why is Chernabog going after Emma when all her darkness was put inside Lily? Why is Emma capable of this level of rage and anger, holding a gun to someone’s head? A and E will tell you it’s because everyone has the ability to go dark but it doesn’t make much sense given what we saw in 416 and what we see happening with Lily who is apparently just *dark* (though we see that Lily is also kind and sweet and really does want Emma in her life in the flashbacks so again, that makes little sense with what is being said)

Hence “things are brighter” for Lily when they’re together, but the opposite for Emma.

Interesting. There’s definitely something afoot when those two are together. But then there’s 2 elements of whatever Lily’s curse is. There’s the propensity for bad decisions, and then there’s this hovering cloud of bad luck, and I’m not sure I understand the supposed relationship between the two. It’s like A&E are trying to peddle the idea of instant karma, which really doesn’t work. Bad things happen to good people, and good things happen to bad people in our world. Is the “darkness” that allegedly got transferred out of Emma responsible for the bad decisions, or the bad luck, or both?
On a different note, if Lily and Emma are connected, as they appear to be from all the cosmic light show happening when they fought, they also have to be, in some senses, symmetrical. Presumably, any random child couldn’t be the “Anti-Savior” otherwise. So what makes Lily and Emma similar? Is Lily is also the product of TL and hence magical?

Interesting theory, like the darkness that was put into Lily is trying to return to its rightful body?
All magic comes with a price!

What I was confused about is the Sorcerer saying Lily and Emma were fated even before the curse. So what exactly do we think the Author did? Just stacked the deck against Lily a little more?

Oooh! Good point. Unless this isn’t about the Author, but about the other favorite theme of OUAT, i.e. how everyone is related!
And in the spirit OUAT soap… Who wants to speculate about who Lily’s biological father is? *eyes Charming suspiciously*
Kidding kidding. I think…
Actually, I wouldn’t put it past them to have it be Charming’s twin brother (how, I have no idea, but we can’t underestimate the creative power of retconning with this show). Wouldn’t it make sense that Lily and Emma are cousins? ;-P

I’ve seen a few people throwing out King Stephan, which would go with things being crazy on this show. We at least know the father is probably a brunette, because…Lily. That sadly eliminates Charming.
Do we think he’s a villain or a hero?
