Why now?

Grumpy seems to know both her and the the ice cream shop. Or at the very least, doesn’t think it’s weird that the IQ is there. If she was only brought over in the second curse, Grumpy and others wouldn’t recognize her. Think Zelena here: “I missed the first curse,” and thus Snow and others don’t know her when she shows up in SB with them for Curse #2.

Now with THAT said…the second curse DID provide Zelena with a house and clothing so it’s not outside the realm of possibility that the second curse would do the same for the Ice Queen.

Hmm… is it possible that the reason the Ice Queen has only just come forward is because she wants a family? As in she sees Elsa (and maybe Emma?) as a way to belong, and is trying to isolate Elsa so she can have her all to herself. Maybe she never would have come out of the woodwork at all if Elsa hadn’t have come to SB?

I got a Cora vibe from the IQ in that she cares about Elsa but wants to destroy her life to show Elsa that she was right. Much in the same way that Cora loved Regina and then framed her for murder to prove to her that everyone still saw her as the Evil Queen.
