I don’t think the Lost Boys said Peter has ripped all of their shadows from them, because I believe Baelfire kept his shadow. I think Peter simply knows how to rip shadows, and has even done so to himself, making his own shadow his minion. Felix sounds like he’s even witnessed it. It might be a form of punishment or torture which Peter inflicts upon those who do not adhere to his wishes. Despite how horrid this sounds, Peter’s ability to rip souls is probably comparable to Rumplestiltskin’s ability to be very menacing with his dark magic (e.g. turning men into slugs). Peter the kidnapper probably threatens to rip the shadows as a way to maintain complete control of the Lost Boys. But, despite being plagued with a dark power, Peter the boy could desperately have been searching for a way to be rid of his affliction.
We don’t know that Peter didn’t eventually take Bae’s shadow. What if he took it, kept it, and then gave it back to him before Bae left for our world?
I like everything you’re saying though, and I think the show will go one of our ways (or not…how often are we right?? :)) I like Peter Pan in general so seeing him become a very evil figure is somewhat disconcerting, plus in a show about hope, I would think that even if he is my hypothesis, it won’t last forever. Even Cora got her heart back for a fraction of a second.[adrotate group="5"]"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 13, 2013 at 5:42 pm #193895SlurpeezParticipant@thebassgal wrote:

That could be an excellent analogy! Regina and Cora stole hearts to have control; and the same could be for Peter, who by taking shadows could control the boys!

We know magic works differently in different lands, so absolutely. Maybe the heart trick is really just localized to FTL.
So if that’s true, why does Peter want Henry’s shadow? Why does he want to control Henry? Unless Peter believes/has heard that Henry is the undoing of the Dark One and hopes to assist in the endeavor. If, as many people are saying, the Dark One and the Shadow have some sort of link, by undoing the Dark One, the Shadow may also be undone (as Phee suggested) and thus Peter is free to leave, as are all the boys who are trapped.

Felix (Parker Croft)
Jefferson (we all know who he is right?)
On looks alone, could Felix be Jefferson? Let’s look at the similarities
Blue eyes, check
Eyebrows, check
Nose, similarish, but will do
Chin with dimple/cleft, check
Blonde curls that often darken when guys get older, check!
Felix’s face is too small, in that I don’t think Parker will grow up to look like Sebastian but to highlight the fact that this is a youthfull Jefferson, that’s only useful for kids face are smaller.Still disagree?
BTW if in Neverland no one ages I hope they shot all of Bae’s scenes NOW rather than in 6 months when he has had another growth spurth. 😉
May 13, 2013 at 6:13 pm #193910RumplesGirlKeymasterJust wanted too add that in the official podcast, A and E call him Felix and say that he and the other lost ones are not the happy whimsical people we remember.

Perhaps a shadow is what is needed to revive the dead?
ETA: In that maybe that’s why Frankenstein’s experiment in LWC didn’t work.

It worked once he had a magical heart, or do you mean something else?
If a shadow does revive the dead, who is Peter wanting to bring back? Given what this show does, I’d say a parent…

It didn’t work right. Yeah, it worked and he was able to bring back his brother (and later Daniel in SB), but they weren’t really themselves. They were evil. Since a heart is generally considered a thing of goodness, perhaps a shadow being considered a thing of evil will bring back someone as a good version of themselves?
ETA: And I think Pan is trying to bring himself back from the curse of the Dark One/whatever the shadow is. He was a child, thus he needs a child to bring himself back. Generally, most children are still fairly innocent/naive because they are generally born pure of heart. Perhaps because Henry is descended from both light and dark magic and has been influenced by both his whole life, maybe his little sense of darkness will be enough to bring Peter back as fairly good?

Twisted. I like it.

Nice, because as far as we know the Shadow has only ever taken children from London, where I doubt many children are born from fairy tale parents and have been influenced by magic.
