To be clear, when I postulated that Hook might be a double agent, I meant that he is working as a spy for the Charmings against the WW.
I could see that. Of the three “villains” Hook is best choice: Regina and the WWW have some sort of history so she’s out; Rumple is “missing,” With the other characters: Snow and Charming are expecting and I don’t think they have it in them to don a pseudo-black hat; Belle and Neal might be off looking for Rumple and Neal and Emma’s history is complicated and painful to the point where at given who Emma thinks she is right now, she’s not inclined to listen to Neal at all..which leaves Hook.

I think that Hook and Neal are working together, and it’s Neal who asks Hook to look for Emma. Snowing can’t search for her because as Hook said, Emma’s family is in danger and need her.
We see that Emma goes to Neal’s apartment, and I think Neal wants Emma and Hook to search for something specific there. (Scroll? Potion?).2. But, when I watch the shorter promo of WWW crossing the Storybrooke town line, (storybrooke is cloaked for outsiders) I get the feeling she is opening a pathway for Emma to enter. She pauses briefly as she hears a car approaching, headlights brighten the Storybrooke sign, and then I assume she will disappear. If she sent Hook, which I doubt she did, he used her yellow brick road as his portal.

They might be changing a lot in their storytelling for next mini-season, knowing the ratings did not improve and Wonderland tanked.

Maybe the Yellow Brick Road isn’t a portal so much as a bridge between the two worlds–SB and the EF–allowing people to cross without needing an actual portal.

In Dark Hollow, he specifically says to Emma he intends to “win” her and isn’t going to do it with trickery. And the reason for that is because he knows full well Emma will see right through any hidden agenda; in addition to his real desire to change and become honorable again. I think Hook went for the exact reason he said – Emma’s family is in trouble. He needs her help to get them out of said trouble. As for HOW he did it, as Neal said, “lots of things” can open portals. We know magic beans, ruby slippers, the enchanted wardrobe and a sail made from Pegasus’ feathers can do it. Most of which are from EF. So there may be other things in the EF that can open a portal.
I’m thinking the “danger” has to do with everyone being re-trapped in SB. In the hospital scene, everyone besides Hook are in our world clothes. So, I’m wondering if once again, not everyone was brought back in the curse, and if so, I’m thinking Hook was one of those not brought back to SF by the curse. Otherwise, I’m guessing he would have FINALLY gotten a wardrobe change!!
January 4, 2014 at 11:50 am #235153HappyEndingsSpectatorI think Hook gets carried back over by the curse and then he takes off to see Emma. Then returns with Emma in SB.
FYI: I think Snow already had her baby it has been a year.

HE, I was thinking that but my only question then is WHY IS HE STILL WEARING HIS PIRATE GEAR?! haha everyone else is wearing regular clothes. Not that I mind the pirate gear, but you’d think if everyone else managed to hit the local Storybrooke Target, he would’ve too…
You’re right about the baby part…a good reason why Snowing wouldn’t be able to go. Besides, “Hi Emma, we’re your parents you don’t remember – ok, yes, we refer to ourselves as Snow White and Prince Charming, and we’re the same age as you, and look, you have a sibling!” seems to be enough for Emma to call to transport these folks to the looney bin…even more than some crazy pirate!
January 4, 2014 at 12:50 pm #235164PheeParticipantI don’t think Snow would have already had the baby. If so, they’d have to keep trying to cover Ginny’s bump, which will get harder to do very rapidly, (you could already tell she’s pregnant in the last few eps). Makes more sense IMO that Snow will be heavily pregnant in present day, so they can just let the bump hang out when she’s in regular clothing in SB, (can hide it with her cape easy enough for FTL flashbacks if necessary). TV time in present day will move slower than real life bump time, but it should be close enough that they can have Snow give birth around the same time Ginny does.

LOL. They’re going to keep Colin in that leather until the final moments of the show.

If you were her family, mother or father, would you want your daughter to leave her happy life behind? Would you put your daughter and grandson’s life in peril to help you? If you had watched your grandson go through the trauma of Neverland, would you want him to come back knowing there is danger lurking in the form of WWW?
If you we’re Hook, or Neal, would you ask Emma and Henry to leave their happy life to come help you? I’m sure they’ve discussed the pros and cons.
This leads me to believe that it’s Emma’s entire family who’s in trouble, meaning Emma and Henry are also in danger. -
