I think my scenario of Neal under a sleeping curse would be sooooo dramatic, and I personally would love it, because I’m torn as to who her true love really is, and I think she is as well. It would be a huge storyline for Emma. But I’m afraid it would cause a shipping frenzy and the story would conclude in Henry waking Neal anyway.
I rather like the theory of someone being cursed into tin man, lion or scarecrow. As long as it’s not the kids. We’ve had a wooden boy and I don’t want poor Roland to become a lion, although it would be ironic, since his dad has a lion tattoo.
[adrotate group="5"]January 5, 2014 at 11:57 am #235343PheeParticipantThis I like. In the books, I believe the Tin Man was once a regular man who was converted (Watcher: am I remember this right?)
I was reading about this last night (whilst watching the movie). It’s sort of brutal, he was made to chop off his body parts one by one, and each time he did, the missing part was replaced by a part made of tin, until eventually his whole body was made of tin.
By the way, this would be a fun board game, kinda like Clue. I think it’s Neal……on a gurney……under a sleeping curse
😆

Hmmm, that is interesting. They probably gave him the lion tattoo because of the traditional connection of Robin Hood to Richard the Lionheart, but considering we’re venturing into Oz, I do wonder if that tattoo might end up having some sort of double meaning.

Eeek.
Well no way ONCE will go that brutal. But I could see someone getting cursed or hexed to become a man of tin and that’s why everyone is rushing gurney-man to the ER.

I wonder if maybe they’ll show Oz flashbacks involving Lion, Scarecrow and Tin Man, and each will be paralleled by one of our present day characters because Lion, Scarecrow and Tin Man don’t exist in our present day storyline? So Robin’s story will somehow parallel the Lion, and two other people’s storylines will parallel the Scarecrow and the Tin Man?
From the tidbits we’ve heard, I could see courage being a theme in Robin’s story, because it sounds like he’s gonna go toe to toe with the feisty Regina, and that takes some courage.

Interesting idea.
The Scarecrow wanted brains/knowledge. That could be Emma as she is trying to relearn the past she’s forgotten while trying to learn about Oz/the WWW/how to stop this curse.
The Tin Man wanted a heart. Regina? I think hearts and I automatically think Regina.

We’ve not seen Robin be cowardly. We’ve seen him break into both Rumple’s and Maleficent’s castles. So the cowardly lion wouldn’t fit Robin’s character IMO.

I’m leaning toward Rumple on the gurney myself. But I just really want to see Rumple again. And since Bobby was in Scotland for a good part of December it could be a way to have him on screen and not have him on screen, if you know what I mean. I’ve said it before, a common way on soaps to give actors vacations used to be to put them in a coma. 😆 They could have him on there and then fill in his scant scenes when he comes back from vacation.
The thing is we don’t know what’s happening. We’ve gotten very little spoilers, they’re filming largely inside, and at this point everything is pure speculation. Everyone’s opinion and theories are valid no matter how outlandish they are. A number of us were on #TeamBrothers last half and an number didn’t like the idea, but we all had fun discussing it. I have hope we can continue this in the coming second half of the season.

The one reason I don’t think it’s Rumple is because of Whale’s “who did this to him?” After a year, everyone knows about Rumple’s sacrifice, having heard about it from those that were there on the street. So if Rumple shows up damaged or hurt, everyone would most likely know it’s due to the events of 311.

Lets have a new curse or something. Something the other characters don’t know how to cure and they wish Rumple was there because he would know what to do. It would tie in nicely to Rumple’s return.

I tend to agree. The sleeping curse is a bit old because the solution is obvious and with Emma being True Love incarnate, she could wake up anyone, be it her soulmate/endgame or not.
I think it’s new curse–if in fact Gurney-man is cursed. A and E have said that 3B is going to be a new way of storytelling. To me that means they’re going to stop using the same solutions they’ve used in the past.
