PoM why can’t the LGBT couple have drama just like a straight couple? Like I think it’s important to recognise the differences and pretending there aren’t won’t make them go away but you shouldn’t feel obliged to put them there, that’s sort of oppression in of itself.

agreed. It doesn’t have to be a major arc or take up even an episode. Just a few lines of dialogue.
They could actually use this, far from glossing over the idea of homophobia, to make a sort of mockery of it. “Wow, you accept all this weird crap with reanimated dragon fairy witches and magic portal beans but two guys kissing is too much? Really?” that sort of subtext could be very powerful.
YES!!! This line right here sounds like an Emma to me 🙂

As for why it should be Snow, I’m not talking about her being full on homophobic but just being a little uncomfortable about it. If words out of a Disney Princess mouth carry more weight, than Snow learning to openly accept LGBT love would carry more weight too.

But can they really do an “acceptance” storyline that resolves in 1 episode? And I just don’t see why Snow would be even the tiniest bit uncomfortable.

Ruby is worse than Regina for having eye sex with everyone.

Like if the concept of SnowWolf comes up, Ruby could just say “Well, anything can happen in the woods…”
This goes entirely over David’s head.

Exactly, thats the point. You WOULDN’T expect Snow White of all people to be that way, just as you wouldn’t have expected her to be good with a bow and arrow or be a bandit, etc. It adds to her character, gives her more depth, more realism. I like the idea of it, but ofcourse not as a permanent thing. I could sort of see Snow having a more “traditional” view of relationships and marriage and such. If there is one character who most definitely wouldn’t mind at all about a LGBT relationship, its Belle hands down. But Snow? Idk. I’m not seeing she would be of the “burning crosses on your lawn and hanging people” sort but I can definitely see het just making a little side comment about it like “Oh…. Elsa is a lesbian? Well that’s….hmmm. >_>” and then someone would call her out on it.

And I don’t see that at all. This is a woman who loves with her whole heart and believes in love above all else. Snow is the woman who offered Regina chance after chance because deep down, they love each other and love trumps everything. I think the only reason why people are suspicious of Snow’s standing on LGBT relationships is because S3B took Snow and made her into a simpleton. Someone who couldn’t see anything beyond the end of her nose. Snow of season 1–the bandit, the live off the land, the fight for love and freedom girl–would NEVER question LGBT relationships.

There’s something about her that just looks really queer, I guess it’s partly that i’ve seen a lot of lesbians with like really bleached hair, and sometimes in a side braid. Characters that look like Elsa in other things usually have something going on with their sexuality. I can’t imagine anyone being surprised at Elsa being just a little bit queer.
Lana almost has a similar vibe, while as far as we know she’s straight, would anyone be surprised if she was Bi? Probably not.
