There HAS been plenty of tension between Emma & Regina in the last few eps – like their little moment where Emma told her she always knows when she’s lying – so it’d hardly be out of left field.

As in input here, I think most of the evidence for SQ isn’t as…potent as SQ shippers think it is. With this for example, I know multiple people that I can recognize instantly when they are lying. Or stealing (yep it happens) and I’m not romantically attracted to any of them. So while this may seem like something to some, for others its just Emma saying she can recognize a lie. Which she’s done with a ton of people since S1.

I think if A&E ever do decide to deliberately put in some sexual tension between Emma and Regina, it needs to be a lot stronger. A hug, for example, where one of them looks at the other for a moment longer than one would expect, or one if their hands lowers down slightly more than you’d think two friends hands would be if they hug, know what I mean?

A&E have also said SwanQueen is not going to happen.

They have said that, but it can live on in fanon. My main problem with SQ is that Regina kept trying to kill Emma and her family. That’s…a dampener.

I like the new title Crystal!!

Ok, I wan to move away from “why SQ won’t happen” and ask this: out of all the characters who’s sexual identity is more ambigious than others, who would you like to have a same-sex relationship and with with whom?

I do like WolFairy (Red and Tink) because they’re both spunky and fun. And Tink, as a fairy, knows about love, but it was never established if she’s straight, gay, bi, pan, ect.

Archie is too obvious a choice for me when it comes to someone being gay. Maybe one or two of the dwarves?

This would be rather humorous considering, ya know, Tinkerbell…. Being a PANsexual 😛 get it? U guys got it

When/if they introduce Ana and Elsa from Frozen, I could actually see the possibility of making Elsa a lesbian or bisexual. Elsa does not have a canonical love interest in the movie, so there’s a lot of creative leeway there.

^ where did they say this outright, though? And even if they did, they could be lying. If Swanqueen was endgame they wouldn’t want to spoil it.

Like unless they have a definite plan for who they’re going to end up with which I really don’t think they do they shouldn’t be ruling anything out anyway.

Here’s a couple of things people should read with regards SQ:

^that goes really really deep but it’s impressive the sheer number of parallels etc. it’s able to dig up. it’s really hard to read that and say that nobody involved with OUAT wasn’t at least setting it up as a potential thread even if the showrunners weren’t for it.

For the record, one reason I don’t support SQ romantically is because Regina is technically Emma’s step grandmother. Blood related or not, it kinda comes across as incesty to me.

SDCC 2103. Eddy said it wasn’t happening.

Since then both Lana and JMo have clarified that Regina’s soulmate is Robin

I’ve read the TV.com article. It’s compelling and she writes well. But for me, it isn’t about there not being chemistry (cause I’m pretty sure Lana Parrilla wold have chemistry with a wall) it’s that they’re semi-related and the whole “I tried to kill you and your mother many times:

Maybe I’m not thinking about this with enough drama, but here’s my fun answer. I think the show has no problem playing loose with whether or not characters are human, even if their Disney counterparts were animals. In some cases there is a background story for this (like with Jiminy) and at other times, just because it makes logical sense (Robin Hood). So I’d like to see some good old Shakespearean storytelling and let’s break out the script from Hamlet as we play with the cast of the Lion King. What do we get in this fine package? A change of scenery, a new cast of characters, a new kingdom with an established line of rulers- and best of all, some comic relief in the form of Timon and Pumba. XD Could they be the new queer couple? Why not! It would be a nice change of pace (and a good show on Disney’s part) if a gay couple wasn’t steeped in melodrama, and was just a pair of characters who played well off of each other and had a healthy relationship.

Depending on the Red Queen’s circumstances (if she died or comes to Storybrooke with Will), I’d love to see Tweedle #2 arrive with him. Maybe he could have a relationship with Mr Smee, or Dr Whale if he’s bi.  🙂
