David’s father was Oz, he left Oz to be with Ruth. We will see flashbacks to David’s father as the Wizard. No casting call will be needed as David will play his father. I also don’t think there will be a wizard in present time because David’s father is suppose to be dead.
Like I said before we are suppose to get David’s back story this season too perhaps this is it.
David’s father is the past like Wat said Uncle Henry lived in the Palace in Oz so I think this Gorham is just Uncle Henry nothing more. In the books Uncle Henry kept track of the treasure. Perhaps he has the red slippers or know where there are?
This has to be why Uncle Henry from the original Oz meets Emma in NY.
Also, King George made a comment to David in the mine something that imply that he was part evil or something like that.
Note: This will also complete the family tree on Snow’s side—David’s Dad, and the new baby 🙂

If they had an actor in mind, they may not have had a casting call. There was no casting call for the WWW or Gorham’s character.

Here’s the one problem with this: the timeline.
The Oz story of the ruby slippers and Dorothy, according to 205, “The Doctor,” happened 10 years BEFORE the Original Curse. And then 28 more years passed while everyone was frozen. That’s 38 years.
The way they have styled and made up Gorham’s character, he is his natural age of about 35. For him to be Uncle Henry, he’d have to be much older looking.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"I don’t think Gorham’s character can be Uncle Henry, for age reasons like RG outlined. He could potentially be a descendant of the Gale family though.
As for the Wizard being Charming’s father, I dunno. Have always kinda had it in the back of my mind that his father had been a Knight of the Round Table, (Snowing had that big round table they had meetings around, which would be a nice tie in if Charming’s father had had a seat at the other Round Table, and his dragon slaying skills wouldn’t be so random if his father had taught him professional swordplay which a Knight would know, and maybe he thought to use the Excalibur story to inspire Snow because it was a story he’d heard as a child from his dad), and today I settled on a headcanon for how the Wizard could potentially be WW’s father, and if that were to happen, I wouldn’t want her and Charming to be (half) siblings.
He could potentially be a descendant of the Gale family though.
That’s a better idea, timeline wise.

David went to Rumple for this idea for the sword remember. As for the round table that was in King George’s castle originally.

Again pointing out that the Uncle Henry in the books was in OZ castle and kept track of all the treasurer. Why would this Gorman guy know about Emma if he didn’t come from OZ?

Sure it could be. That’s fair. I said that in another thread when you brought this up but since you didn’t mention it originally in this thread, I was pointing it out again.
So, your theory has to work like this:
In order for Gorham to be Uncle Henry, he had to be trapped in Oz for the past 28 years and Oz had to be frozen in time like SB was.

David seems to know a lot about magical things like Rumple’s dagger & pixie dust that have always seemed odd to me. How did David of all people know about pixie dust in Neverland? He is the one to describe it.
Also, Ruth said she got the necklace that predicts if you are having a boy or girl from a powerful wizard. Could be Merlin?
I guess RG, I don’t know he could have came over with the curse too like Hook did and perhaps he has what the Witch wants or perhaps he came here before and brought something from OZ.
At this point in time I don’t think that new guy is nothing more then Uncle Henry.
As for the wizard no casting calls was for him and like someone mention in chat no casting call went out for the witch either just strange we are on 3.16 and no sightings or rumors of a wizard.
