Never been a big fan of Pee-Wee but I guess if we only have to hear him it might be alright. It’ll be interesting to see what they do with the character so hopefully it exceeds my (now low) expectations. Was looking forward to it til I saw that but I’m sure they know what they’re doing.

As for the Red Queen I figured that’s what they meant because they are two distinct characters: Alice in Wonderland revolves around a deck of cards (which includes the Queen of Hearts) and Through the Looking Glass (the sequel) revolves around a game of chess with the red pieces and the white pieces. The Red Queen, the White Queen, and the White Knight are the pieces most often seen in portrayals of Alice. Glad they clarified it though for anybody unfamiliar with it or the assumption that they’re suddenly calling the Queen of Hearts the Red Queen – 2 totally different things.

    Im still iffy about this
ill probably watch it if it gets broadcasts but I think it may limit our chances of seeing Wonderland in Once and more so meeting characters from the land. and if they do include the same characters like alice, white rabbit, ect. in both shows I think that there will be no purpose to Wonderland, but it gives us more chances for more characters back stories. also with Once they have some much material to pick out of the show could be endless just with backstories, but with Wonderland, will they have enough to make backstories like they suggest?

Wasn’t it mentioned somewhere that Wonderland would have a shorter season, (if it gets picked up)? If so, that’s less storyline they have to create. But at the same time, they can properly flesh out any Wonderland ideas they may have, that don’t necessarily fit in Once. And there’s always the chance that characters from either show could cross over for certain eps.

I wasn’t that thrilled about the concept originally, but that was due mostly to the rumour of them re-casting the Hatter. The more we’ve heard about it, the more I think that what they have in mind for Wonderland will actually compliment Once in just the right way.

I think it will compliment it. I read that the show runners referenced American Horror Story for the “complete story” in a season idea. I hope it is not too creepy like that show, but if it has mystery and a bit of darkness, that’s ok. I really want a complete story arc in a season so we have some main character with a happy (or not) ending.

Wow, PeeWee Herman as the White Rabbit. hm, he can do comedy and seriously, would not be his first venture into fairytales (he was pinnochio in fairytale theatre, I think).

Paul “Pee-Wee Herman” Reubens is an interesting choice for the White Rabbit. I can definitely see him working!

If the character is animated, we’ll only get to hear his voice; it depends on what direction they plan to take the character. like, they could have gone with Screech from Saved by the Bell and that would have been awesome too.

Word is they start filming tomorrow. I wouldn’t count on publicly taken photos from Vancity or anything though. I expect the entire thing to be done in a green screen soundstage.

I think Mark Isham is working on the score. He just posted this to Instagram

Just saw the last photo, so yeah, the shortcut for that is “OW” 😆 No more debate on what the heck is the title for this show.

Mark Isham’s working on the music in addition to Once, if anything, I know I will love the soundtrack. 😀
