Greg and Tamara, Once Upon a Time
That these two — a whiny orphan with a vendetta against Regina and Neal’s agenda-hiding fiancee — were so rapidly dispatched with by “the Home Office” in Season 3’s premiere speaks to their utter disposability as evil-doers.

December 28, 2013 at 2:01 pm #234080TheWatcherParticipantI think GOAT were actually pretty good characters. The fans had such negative reactions toward them thats why I think they were killed off so quickly. There was a lot of potential for them, especially Tamara. We needed her back story if nothing else and yet we still haven’t gotten it. I blame all you GOAT haters v_v bahhh

Keeper Of Tamara's Taser , Jafar's Staff, Kitsis’s Glasses , Ariel’s Tail, Dopey's Hat , Peter Pan’s Shadow, Outfit, & Pied Cloak,Red Queen's Castle, White Rabbit's Power To World Hop, Zelena's BroomStick, & ALL MAGICDecember 28, 2013 at 2:06 pm #234083RumplesGirlKeymasterI think GOAT were too much. If they had simplified their storylines then maybe it wouldn’t have been such a train wreck.
So, make Greg/Owen anit-magic but NOT have his history with Regina AND be Tamara’s love interest
OR
Make Tamara anti-magic but NOT be Neal’s fiance and Greg’s love interest.
It was too much in two people.
Simplify ONCE. Simplify.

They could’ve even had her play her part in GOAT if she was only doing it because she thought it would save Neal.
Greg could’ve been an interesting character if they had just made him an average Joe who wound up in Storybrooke and all the characters had to pretend to be their cursed selves again.
Why were GOAT specifically chosen for their task? How did GOAT meet? There’s a lot of questions surrounding them.
All magic comes with a price!

Why did Tamara hate magic so much?
Do she really have a grandmother or was that a ploy?
Who were they getting their orders from ? And how? (I keep joking about the coconut phone but seriously…how did Pan contact them? And how did he contact the DBs?)

I’m positive they had more back story to tell with her. This show doesn’t do, “evil without a reason” and they gave us Greg’s motivation, and I’m sure they had an explanation for Tamara’s motivation too. It’s a bugger that now we’ll never know what it was.

It could have been a compelling plot if they’d shown exactly how Pan’s reach extended into our world, to find and pluck out these people to train to be his minions, without them even being aware of how they were being controlled.
I think GOAT was one of those things that was a much better idea on paper, but it just didn’t click quite right when they brought it to life, and as a result they got dropped and we’re left with all these unanswered questions.

Yup. A and E want us to forget GOAT as quickly as possible. We’ll probably never hear of them again.
