Heroes are made, not born, and on Once Upon a Time, the journey from villain to hero is a very rocky one.
That’s evident in the evolution of Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue), who has transformed from a vengeful pirate to a hero on the verge of proposing to his true love, Emma (Jennifer Morrison). But while he gained the blessing of her father, David (Josh Dallas), Hook now has a huge obstacle to overcome after realizing that he killed David’s father. The past has come back to bite him.
As OUAT co-creator Edward Kitsis tells Yahoo TV, they wanted to put “Hook through the ringer to see how far he’s come and what he can overcome.” Hook isn’t the only villain-turned-hero grappling with the past — Regina (Lana Parrilla) has realized that the Wish Realm version of Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) is not the same person as the Robin she fell in love with. “It’s coming to terms with letting go of Robin and moving forward,” co-creator Adam Horowitz explains. Kitsis: We can tell you we’re waiting by the phone and as soon as we know, you will at least be the third of fourth person we tell.
Still think they’re going to get renewed but with a heavily truncated cast. And maybe short season
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"So they pretty much admitted Regina will rejoin herself with the EQ. I’m not sure how that relates to Robin and moving forward though. I think it’s really poor form of ABC not to have told A&E whether they’re getting renewed or not. I foresee them giving “resolution” to our characters and the season’s/shows arc and then having something happen in the last ten minutes of the episode that raises more questions that may never get answered.
And the whole cast will reunite for the series finale including the people leaving. They’ll come back for the series finale.
Somebody explain this to me. If JMO leaves what happens with CS? I would assume nothing happens, they’re just separated but will be reunited at the end of the final season.
Even so they will still be married. Emma is not dying, therefore the marriage still stands. So it just means husband and wife are separated for the rest of the season, till the finale.
Yet some neanderthals on Tumblr take this to mean CS is sinking? Yeah no, JMO leaving this season does not mean the CS ship is sinking or that the marriage is over. It just means what it does, they’re probably going to be separated.
And Hook’s storyline next season will have to do with finding Emma.
We don’t know what is going to happen. Emma could die. She could be sleeping cursed. She could be thrown into some other realm. We don’t know.
We also don’t know if Jennifer will agree to come back for a finale episode of Season 7. It is all a lot of speculation based on nothing. It is impossible to speculate based on what makes sense character and plotwise because this show doesn’t work that way. If this show did work that way then Emma would never have started dating Hook in the first place. Random, out of left field, out of character, convenient for the plot, convenient for the writers and ABC, things happen all the time on this show, so Emma just being gone and not coming back could happen.
It could go either way. It is also possible that the show will just be cancelled.
