That’s what I’ve been thinking!

That’s sooo true… It could be a fake!!! 😮 maybe Neal isn’t Bae and we have all been coming up with the wrong conclusions. For all we know maybe Emma just runs into Neal and he was running away because maybe he didn't quit the thief profession and he though someone was after him. I mean if she runs into Neal, Rumple has to be there Emma is his guide he can't just go off on his own. Don’t know if the previous was a spoiler but just to be safe.

If he saw magic but wasn’t expecting to then he would have been more “Did I actually see what I thought I saw?”. From living in a world without magic, his mind would’ve been conditioned to believe there is no such thing as magic and would’ve tried to find the most logical solution to what occured. He also would have probably kept it to himself for fear that he had gone insane or that others would deem him mentally unfit. He seemed like he was excited because he had found evidence to prove him right.
Exactly. His demeanour during that phonecall sounded much more like someone who had found what they were looking for, as opposed to someone who’d stumbled on something unbelievable completely unexpectedly, IMO.
Also regarding that phonecall, I think the persistent calls from Her had been because the last time they’d spoken, (and we know they’d had a few calls back and forth, assuming hers is the repeated number in the call list in his phone), he’d told her he thought he’d found the place he was looking for, and was heading in. So when she didn’t hear from him again, she began to worry. Which would be perfectly understandable, if he was heading into a place where he believed magic and living storybook characters to be. I’d have been wanting scheduled updates if I was Her, and if he was suddenly MIA, I’d be trying to call every 5 minutes.

That’s not necessarily true because there are people of today, now, here, in our world, that believe in magic. Or believe in the possibility of it. Just because he didn’t instantly be skeptical about it doesn’t mean he’s not an actual outsider.
Even if he proves to actually be just a real world person, I think he has to be one of those people who believes, and he had to be seeking this place out as a result of that belief. I don’t think he was just some random, regular guy who stumbled on SB purely by chance.

If so, it could be the new stranger Greg=Peter Pan=Bae. And Her=Wendy=Morraine.
From Season 1, I’ve always felt that Morraine and Baelfire had a strong connection. Perhaps after, Baelfire disappeared, Morraine went searching for him and ended up in Neverland (maybe with help from Blue Fairy).
Baelfire could have become Peter Pan and Morraine is Wendy. This was speculated in many theories in Season 1 as in the original Peter Pan book, Wendy’s middle name is Moira.
Now they are post-Neverland, which could explain why Hook had been back to FTL pre-curse. Greg/Bae and “Her” are a couple now in real world and have been finding a way to search for Bae’s father. Bae may not have been able to do so until recently when the curse broke.
It would be ironic because Gold actually had a chance to save Greg at the hospital when Whale asked him to.
Meanwhile, Cora’s gift to Rumple could definitely have been a ruse. Maybe she had enchanted lip gloss that affected the results of what the globe showed. And after all, did Cora really need
Gold/Rumple’s blessing to get her daughter back? It doesn’t seem Rumple would not have really cared if Cora got to Regina as long as she left him and Belle alone. It appears in spoilers that Gold will travel to Manhattan with Emma, believing they are searching for Bae. They instead find Neal, who I am thinking, as others has proposed is the White Rabbit. Cora having been the QoH could certainly known of the White Rabbit. And she has simply sent Gold/Emma to “chase a rabbit” while she is up to no good back in Storybrooke”.
At the end of “In Name of Brother”, you can imagine Greg/Bae calling Her/Morraine exceitedly about what he saw, which was his dad throwing a magic fire ball at Cap Hook, Bae/Peter Pan’s nemesis back in Neverland!
January 26, 2013 at 8:03 pm #170115PriceofMagicParticipantI don’t think Bae would be excited to see Rumple. Even less so seeing Rumple use magic against someone since Bae thought magic was making Rumple worse hence why he wanted Rumple to stop being the dark one in The Return.
All magic comes with a price!

The way I see it Neal being the White Rabbit just points back to him being Bae. The White Rabbit went down a hole to another world. Bae went down a hole to another world. Alice followed the White Rabbit to another world. Emma followed Bae to another world.

Don't grow up. It's a trap.

This reflects my initial impression (mentioned elsewhere in the forum) that Greg might be a food critic. Like reporters, they travel as well. I also suggested that HER on his phone could be his way of addressing/identifying a much disliked lady boss. We cannot assume HER is the person he was having a conversation with on the phone at the end, as we did not see who that contact was.
I am very interested to see how this plays out when the show resumes.
January 27, 2013 at 11:47 am #170204swanning-offParticipantActually, the outsider being a grown up Peter Pan who recognised Hook would make a lot of sense…..
Damnation! I want Nealfire to be Pan too 😉
