Also…If WWW is Regina’s half sister…who’s the father. .. Better not be Rumple.
[adrotate group="5"]March 17, 2014 at 7:47 pm #253741sedornaParticipantI seriously hope that Rumpel isn’t Zelena’s father. If they are related, I will be very disappointed in Rumpelstiltskin. He has been many things, some of them rather unpleasant. However, one thing that I have never considered him to be is a hypocrite. But if Zelena is his daughter, and he knows about it, then hypocrite is the only word I can think of to call him.
After all, Rumpel killed Mila because she abandoned Baelfire. But he did the same thing to Zelena? Uh-uh. If she is his daughter, then he can’t know anything about it.
March 17, 2014 at 7:49 pm #253742RumplesGirlKeymasterThat is one of my biggest reasons why Rumple *can’t* be Zelena’s father. He wold never abandon his child after Baelfire. And if it’s a “he didn’t know because he didn’t see it…” that’s just bad writing.

Going insane, letting himself go, was easier on him…..and then, of course, he chose to forget for 28 years because he couldn’t handle the pain.
Here, he KNOWS Belle is alive, even in FTL where I suppose he’s first……caught. How could he not want to do all he could to find his way back to her? To Bae? Now in SB, he’s going to let himself go? Where is the fighter in him? He knows Belle is somewhere near; I don’t like the idea that Gold won’t fight for her, but she has to fight for him.
My initial thought was that he was faking because of the “tricks up his sleeve” spoiler, but the fact that he continues after WW leaves is bothersome. STILL, you’re either insane/raving or you’re not; you don’t turn it off and on like a light switch. He’s able to clearly have a conversation with her without going off the wall… and well, back to her leaving? Who’s to say WW was completely out of the room when Gold continued his cackling. I just refuse to believe he’s given up. He fought for his life in NL when he had a Belle-epiphany; he had everything he wanted and sacrificed his life. There’s just no way I can see him sitting back and letting it go when Belle is out there, his happy ending.
Might I say that I am absolutely heartbroken at seeing my baby treated like this? He’s in a cage, a freaking cage, and being treated like a rabid animal. He’s got that spinning wheel, but obviously he’s not using it to forget, which is another reason I think he could be faking. It hurts to see him like this. I hope Belle finds him
March 17, 2014 at 8:38 pm #253760SlurpeezParticipantWhy is she holding him hostage? What does she want? Did Rumple cast the curse?
I think Zelena is holding Rumple captive because she is controlling him with his dark one dagger. I think she wants to wield his great power like a weapon. I don’t think Rumple cast the new curse though. I think Zelena did since it sounds like she wanted to prove that she could do it this time. Zelena seemed almost jealous of the fact that Rumple selected Regina to cast the first dark curse.
How long did Rumple and Zelena work together? And why did he give up on her?
I think Rumple and Zelena may have worked together for several months before Rumple realized she was the wrong candidate to cast his first curse. Maybe he chose Regina, rather than Zelena, because of the special way that Cora manipulated her daughter into saving Snow and marrying Leopold. That was too delicious an opportunity for Rumple to let go of, since Regina had this natural antipathy towards her step-daugher, Snow.

I think he chose Regina because she was an innocent at first. She was full of love and hope, she had further to fall because she started higher. Zelena on the other hand seems bitter about her life from the start. She didn’t have love or hope in her.

From what we know about Zelena, it seems that at her core, what she is longing for is love. She feels like an outcast, a black sheep, because of her history of being cast aside.

So you don’t think she’s Cora’s daughter? Or that she knew he had been with her mother and didn’t care?
I don’t know…we’ve done the whole “Rumple rejects love” or “Rumple has issues with love” storyline. I think this is a bit of a stretch. Her beef is with Regina. She’s using Rumple to get back at Regina.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 17, 2014 at 9:06 pm #253777angiebelleParticipantOh, yes, I do believe she is Cora’a daughter. But that doesn’t mean Zelena knows the history between her and Rumple. Regina didn’t seem to.
Zelena said she was a student of Rumple’s too. I didn’t mean this as a Rumple rejects love storyline. I was thinking more along the lines of Zelena has a creepy obsession with him and he has no feelings for her. Unrequited love.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Creepy obsession fits with her keeping him in a cage. “If I can’t have you, no one else can.” And her face when Regina said that Rumple was dead was one of horror.
Alright. I’m going to think about it more cause it’s not my favorite idea because her beef is with Regina and I think Rumple is just her tool of choice.
