I loved Hercules.  I thought Whitesell did a great job with it.  And I loved Herc and Snow’s relationship.  I thought both actors did well.  And it was nice to see how Snow learned to shoot her arrow.

Meg was a train wreck.  It was so bad that I thought she was playing them and working for Hades the whole time which would have been consistent with the movie.  But nope, she was just an insecure damsel in distress who somehow got to leave bc Herc conquered his unfinished business…just not good for her all around.

I was really looking forward to the show’s portrayal of Megara since the actress, Kacey Rohl, is fantastic. Having seen NBC’s Hannibal (which you should check out, just for the acting alone), I was excited for the show to get ahold of a great actress.

Then nothing! All she did was shake and squeal and stick a dagger in a CGI beast. The show turned a headstrong, independent woman into a person just looking for someone to save her (because they will always save her!).

Keeper of Thor’s Hammer, Will Scarlet’s Genie Bottle, Emma’s Gun, Emma and Henry’s Moment at the Castle, Cora, and the infamous Family Tree!

Yeah, I watched a few videos of Kacey’s other projects, and she seemed like she’d be good fit for the role. The problem solely lies on the writing and how she was directed.

Kacey’s been great on the Magicians; very feisty and dangerous as Marina. So, yeah it’s the writing/direction of OUAT.
