March 29, 2014 at 9:33 am in reply to: Zelena's True Purpose For Blood, Brains, Heart, Courage, Snowing Baby #2565173princessesParticipant
My crack theory is she does want to resurrect her child she was separated from, Graham! She had him at 15 or so. She is 4oish now. He was 25ish. Raised by wolves. They were hoping to bring him back for finale. She is mad at Regina for killing him & having everything she wanted.
[adrotate group="5"]3princessesParticipantI like the idea of the door being open or it just being wonky because Zelena is weaker. I’m hoping it’s not a completely different curse, because it detracts from it being the only way Rumple could get to our world to find Bae. If there was a weaker curse, I think he would have used it.
3princessesParticipantCharming was at the wedding. The wedding clearly happens post-taking-back-the-kingdoms, and I firmly believe it’s also after Charming and Snow’s public wedding (though maybe just after the honeymoon). However, a royal wedding could presumably take some time to happen. And it’s possible that Thomas had to hunt a bit for his bride (as per the Cinderella tale) first. Trying to squeeze in the wand earlier is tricky, but Ariel already moved up everything in that area of the timeline to mid-112 because of the Certain Mermaid comment.
If it is Ariel & the mermaid comment throwing everything off, could it be a different mermaid? As much as I’d like it to be Ariel, isn ‘t there a wardrobe change for Regina that causes an issue with that.
I think Rumple must be taking it back, though. Like you said, Snow and Charming have already taken back the kingdom at Ella’s wedding & are happily married. I don’t think there could have been more than a year for them between their wedding and the curse.
3princessesParticipantWow! These are just my initial questions form the first sneak peek (haven’t yet had a chance to read through the first two pages though):
- How does Zelena know Johanna? If we’re going off of the theory that Queen Eva is from Oz, then so might Johanna be from Oz?
- What did Zelena put into Charming and Snow’s tea? Is it a magic essence? What’s her aim?
- Hasn’t Snow learned ANYTHING from her dealings with Rumple? At least Charming is wise enough to be cautious, but alas, his love for Snow makes him bend to her will.
I never even thought about Zelena actually knowing Johanna, because she came from Oz with Eva! I hope so! I just assumed she was lying.
3princessesParticipantI don’t think David’s going to drink it. He might come close and then, maybe they’re interrupted and he doesn’t drink it. It would be great if Emma shows up and David stands up to hug her.
I think he might. Remember in the promo from over hiatus the image of David passed out in the woods (modern clothing) with the hooded figure approaching behind.Must be from this episode
Good thought. It seemed from the promo that he was having hallucinations in FTL, but maybe he has them in both. They’ve been doing a lot of parallell events in the flashbacks & present so far. This could be one of those.
3princessesParticipantI don’t think she’s trying to kill David. It would be too obvious it was her. Maybe something to make him trust her? He’s certainly having doubts.
3princessesParticipantOk, thanks to chat two things are really bothering me. 1) What was Emma’s talisman? / Why didn’t she need one? 2) And this is the big one – HOW DID NEAL STILL HAVE HIS APT A YEAR LATER?! Those suckers cost a lot of money, especially that neighborhood? Neal had a auto pay acct with that much money in it?!?!?! Wow, is Neal loaded? Wait, that’s a lot of questions….
My theory on the memory potion is that with a normal memory potion, you don’t need a talisman. The curse in Storybrook & crossing the line was a special situation where a different memory potion was necessary. It was in the nature of the curse that a traditional memory potion woildn ‘t work. This is why it was so difficult for them to make the memory potion in Season 2. If it was a normal potion, Gold could have easily made it for Belle.
As far as Neal’s apartment, he must have owned it outright. It wasn’t the greatest apartment, but somehow he owned it.
3princessesParticipantAs to the book…more Oz lore. Glinda has a book that records EVERYTHING that happens that she consults to know what’s going on. Link to Henry’s book? Possibly.
Ooooh! Awesome !
3princessesParticipantThere could have been more in the note about Neal and Hook is keeping that information to protect Emma, much as he wanted to “keep a secret until confirmation” when it came to news that Neal was alive and in the Echo cave. I think Hook may have some suspicions but I can’t see him choosing to straight up lie to Emma but carefully selecting what truth to share is a pirate thing to do.
I don’t think he’s lying or working for the witch either. Carefully selecting the truth is a good way to put it. He is protecting Emma or Neal or both.
3princessesParticipantCurious about the captions. Do they work off a version of the script for the captions? Did the person writing the captions just assume it was a seagull because the bird flew to a ship? Seagull instantly makes you think Scuttle. And we do know that Ariel’s coming back, and she and Hook will be interacting. Anyway, at the moment I’m thinking Neal sent the message, because it had to be someone who knew Neal’s address and that there would be stuff in the apartment that could help Emma, which narrows it down to either Neal or Rumple IMO. Hook’s playing it like he doesn’t know who sent it, but I do wonder if he does actually know. His story changed about how he got the potion, so perhaps he’s slipping up with the half truths as he’s trying to not reveal all he knows. Perhaps it was actually Ariel who delivered the message, and she was sent by Neal, who we know has the know how to summon sea creatures. I would think that when everyone got returned from whence they came, Ariel became a mermaid again. If Neal ended up in a position where he learned that the Curse was coming, and he wanted to get a message to Hook to help find Emma, and he knew that Hook would be off somewhere on his ship by that point in time, then Neal giving the message to Ariel would make sense. She’s had the role of delivering messages before, so it wouldn’t feel out of place if it was her.
I’m with you. I think Neal sent it before whatever happened to him that has kept him from showing up yet, happened. He sent it with Ariel who had to pass it off to Scuttle. There was a little more in the note, but Hook doesn’t want to upset Emma about Neal.
Hopefully, Ariel will also have a fish & a crab helping her find Hook too, because that would just be awesome! 🙂
